Edmonton Shooting Under Investigation | Calgary News

A deadly confrontation unfolded in west Edmonton last Sunday when police responded to reports of a woman and baby shot at a home. Officers encountered a 36-year-old man with a firearm who ignored verbal commands, prompting three officers to fire their weapons. The man died at the scene, while the two women and infant were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries — no officers were hurt. Alberta’s Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has now launched a full investigation to determine if any misconduct occurred during the incident.
