The last fiscal year, their agency recovered over 1 BILLION in benefits for workers in America. 1 BILLION! They oversee approximately 2.8 million health plans, 765,000 private pension plans which cover 153 million workers, their dependents, and retirees.  They ensure that the plans follow the law. They also provide free assistance to participants experiencing problems.
