from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent

#Education #narcissist #survival 0:00 - 2:30 - Intro 2:30 - 20:34 - Challenging False Assumptions about Narcissistic Abuse 20:34 - Wrap Up Hello Everyone, I hope all is well.Welcome to our second segment on Education this week 😊In today's conversation we're talking about the false assumptions and biases that strip victims of narcissistic abuse of the ability to be heard. Many of us are either currently suffering, or know someone who is surviving narcissistic abuse. Often, it is the ignorance and the complicit agreement of our communities that enable narcissistic abuse to continue. It is less about us not speaking up, and more about not being heard. Many who experience abuse suffer in silence because our experiences fail to sway the false assumptions and biases that people have regarding abuse and its recipients. In short, it is rare that any form of abuse occurs in a vacuum. Many of us who have suffered narcissistic abuse are personally familiarized with the violence inherent in the silence that our personal and professional network carries, when our cries for support fell on deaf ears.
