Welcome to our first segment on Education this week 😊 In today's conversation we're talking about recovering from toxic relationships. Specifically, I'll be sharing my personal experience on surviving narcissism from a parental figure, and the key building blocks to my journey to healing, in hopes to encourage any of you who are dealing with the same situation. Many of us wish away the pain we experienced in our formative years. Whether we suffered injury from a parent, a sibling, or a peer - there are memories we feel we would be better off without. All to say, a lot of who we are, what we stand for, and what we believe in are as informed by the injustices we've suffered, as much as the values and beliefs that we adopted along our journey. It's important to celebrate our personal survivorship. Not only is it important to celebrate, it is equally required that we recognize that the choice is always ours: whether we decide to turn our emotional scars into beauty marks - offering healing and support to anyone going through a similar experience.
