Education: Focusing on Proficiency | How the Expectation of Performance Hinders Our Ability to Learn

#education #performance #proficiency  Hello Everyone,    I hope all is well.  Welcome to our second segment on Education this week 😊   On today's topic of discussion we're focusing our attention on the the dissonance that exists between performance and learning.   Many academic institutions market themselves as having the expertise and capabilities to provide a top-notch education. Make sure to verify if they mean an education that teaches children how to perform, despite not having the proficiency, or an education that focuses on knowledge acquisition through guided, and supportive, learning.  Many offer the former and not the latter.  Education, currently, is more about how you present yourself as a top performer, than it is about ensuring you have the knowledge to be thorough, intentional, and think critically on the impact your choices have decisions have on you and those around you.  The focus will play a role in our character development (or lack thereof), in the quest for proficiency, let's choose the traditional path that learning provides.  Performance is never top-tiered if we're cutting corners to show results.   Do you have any questions regarding our parent-child workshops?
