Sure, some will say (and I've heard this from many colleagues who got their degree in public administration or business) that getting a degree shows you are able to finish what you started. Isn't a 30-year career the same thing?? Sarge isn't convinced a college education makes you a better leader or smarter than the high school grad who went to the academy rather than college. Like Sarge's father said to him 50 years ago, "your generation will have the most highly educated burger flippers". He wasn't wrong. What say you? Is a college education important in police work?
