Education: The Art & Science of Communicating Effectively | Why Hostility Is a Skill Worth Mastering
from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent
#education #communication #aggression #hostility 0:00 - 2:30 - Intro 2:30 - 10:30 - Hostility as a Tool 10:30 - Wrap Up Hello Everyone, I hope all is well. Welcome to our second segment on Education, this week ☺️ Today, we're chatting on how, in some cases, we can communicate effectively while leveraging hostility. Many would describe hostile exchanges as those where we leave our emotional intelligence at the gate. When we think "hostile," we do not immediately consider it as a means of communicating where the intention is to reach a mutually beneficial resolution. But what if it could be? Aggression, used with intention, is a powerful instrument that enables us to maintain our boundaries and re-establish a sense of safety. Understanding when a situation calls for a directive and cutting style of communication, allows you to safeguard yourself and your boundaries, when it matters the most. Rather than demonizing our anger based on the destructive ways it can manifest... let's reap the benefits that come with learning how to master one of our most powerful emotions. With intention and mindfulness, we can harness the power in our aggression. Any questions?
