EFCC Arraigns Blessing CEO Over Alleged N36m Rent Scam in Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned social media influencer and self-styled relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, before the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos.She was arraigned before Justice Deinde Dipeolu on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining N36 million by false pretence and stealing.According to the EFCC, the alleged offences involve the sum of N36,000,000, said to have been fraudulently obtained from one Mrs. Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye under the guise of leasing a six-bedroom detached duplex in Lekki, Lagos.At the commencement of proceedings, defence counsel, P.I. Nwafor, informed the court that his client had made a partial refund of N24 million to the nominal complainant.
