EFF says there is no eveidence that Shivambu received money from VBS

from AM Live on SAfm · host SABC News and Current Affairs

SAfm — EFF leader Julius Malema says the party has scrutinised his deputy Floyd Shivambu's bank statement and no money from VBS mutal bank or Sgameka was located. Malema briefed the media at the party's headquarters in Braamfontein in Johannesburg. The party has dismissed claims that it received money from VBS, while at the same time says it has no reason to doubt Shivambu. He has distanced himself from his brother who has been named as one of the people who received money from the mutual bank in a Reserve Bank forensic report. The report says Brian Shivambu received 16-million-rand, ten-million of which a newspaper claims was paid into Floyd's bank account. Malema says if Floyd Shivambu is found to have been implicated in the looting of VBS bank he will be dealt with accordingly.
