EFF to write to Parliament and Presidency to demand disclosure of IPP companies

SAfm — The Economic Freedom Fighters has accussed the energy minister Jeff Radebe of attempting to conceal planned looting by the Independent Power Producers. It says that it has submitted questions to the minister, but minister Radebe has failed to answer most of them. The EFF says it will write to the speaker of Parliament and the Presidency to demand immediate full disclosure of all companies that were awarded IPP contracts. The IPPs are expected to add 2,300 megawatts of electricity to the national grid over the next five years. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to the EFF member of Parliament Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.
