Effective Therapy with Black Women

from Health and Healing Dealing with Trauma and Addictions · host Michael D.

They're expected to hold down the house, rear the children, work and school and lead in church services etc. Burnout and stress are rampant among Black women, especially as many absorb traumatizing situation daily. Racism is traumatizing! "It’s ok to be a strong black woman– I say - You don’t rid yourselves of the Strong Black Woman image, you throw out parts of it, but you use parts of it to move toward healing.” Let's vibe and heal together! Anxiety can trigger depression and other behavioral, physical, and mental health issues. It is especially hard if you are dealing with other personal, work, relationship, or family-related issues. Please be aware that it is okay to ask for help.
