As a child of two military officials, she has seen the worst of abusive relationships. "My mother ended having to shoot my father and kill him in self defense" My mother has no choice and she went to jail for six years and my grand parents raised me. this heartbreaking statement is one no child should ever have to say. This amazing talent and bravery lady shared this with us. as i look on and struggle to grasp it and ask follow up questions, I told myself i wont be able to walk a mile in her shoes.
