They began Short Grain food truck in 2014, which served untraditional Japanese rice bowls and landed them on Bon Appetit magazine’s Top Fifty Best Restaurants list, Eater Young Guns and Best Chef lists, and garnered them a James Beard’s Rising Star Chef nod.
