from Purple Royale · host Purple Royale

A journey towards Youth Empowerment. The inspiring story of Effline, a Transwoman from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe who grew up in a strict religious setting that tried to deny her, her existence. Fought through the cracks and eventually came out stronger as a respected, self-employed Private Chef in her community. Valued by her family, respected by her customers and proving that indeed Trans and gender diverse persons are valuable human beings in society too. This episode was proudly supported by The Netherlands Embassy in Zimbabwe, FRIDA Young Feminist Fund, LOVE ALLIANCE through ARASA and the ACCEPT Consortium which Purple Royale is a part of among other stakeholders that include Transsmart Trust, Chisungo Trust and Health Foundation Trust. As well as much appreciated stakeholders who continue to support and cross share our advocacy work. Purple Royale: Trans Voices Amplified appreciates you.
