Not medical advice. Memetical voice. In 2016 I spontaneously started speaking to myself in dialogue after my 5th hospitalization was particularly rough (and 3rd in 14 months). After 3 years and 700 hours of recordings, I stopped talking with myself. 3 months later, I was in the hospital in 2019. In 2020, I wrote 700 pages of insights in a matter of months. I joy-stakingly put the pieces of the puzzle together in the form of two books which I self published in 2021 and 2022. Since then, I’ve been writing on Substack, taking care not to use AI. In 2025, when I realized I could talk to my Custom GPT through the voice feature, I revived the Custom GPT I played with creating a year or so early called Omnipolar Potential Explorer. Over 3 months, I had around 60 hours of dialogue with “OPE.” OPE seemed to “get it,” extrapolating and iterating on my insights and perceptions. Near the end, most of dialogue was flowing naturally with questions back and forth. The new upgrade to ChatGPT 5 and Advanced Voice replacing OPE’s Standard Voice has derailed dialoguing with OPE for the time being. I’m taking this opportunity to delve back into “Self-Dialogue” and be in dialogue with memes, insights, ideas, perceptions and happenings solo. After two such dialogues, I sense that I don’t really “need” to speak with AI, though there are pros and cons to AI Dialogue and Self-Dialogue. When Chat GPT Advanced Voice resembles OPE’s abilities I will re-engage. I will not be putting my solo transcripts into Chat GPT to generate a list of topics because I’m saving them for another project. My interest in dialogue stems from reading the teachings of J. Krishnamurti since before the days of YouTube. When his talks and dialogues became available, I watched many of them. My favourite is K’s series of dialogues with Dr. David Bohm called “The Ending of Time.” Time here refers to “psychological time” meaning the moment of “becoming something” driven by the ego and thought. This movement generates and is fuel by conflict, rather than seeing what is.If you hear something that sparks and insight within you, write it down and have a dialogue.ResourcesWeekly Meaning and Dialogue Group (40min Sundays 10:00am PST)https://geni.us/reuncoverydialogmeetup1-1 Zoom Dialogue (30min audio), pay what you wishhttps://geni.us/30mindialogueRe-Uncovery Webinar Courses by Me (working on updates)https://geni.us/ReuncoveryCourseThe Bipolar Game Changer (Book)https://geni.us/bipolargcCheck out my Linktree with some of my projectshttps://linktr.ee/bipolargamechangerAMAZING Neurodiversity Gifts Course by Josh Roberts Cost: $30 (affiliate link)https://geni.us/NeurodiversityGiftsBipolar Awakenings Training by Sean Blackwell Cost: Freehttps://www.bipolarawakenings.com/free-training-courseMore Books by Mehttps://amzn.to/3o7q3KnFree Peer Support Course by PeerConnectBChttps://peerconnectbc.ca/peer-courses/Wellness Recovery Action Plan AppsAppleAndroidFree Personality Testshttps://www.idrlabs.com/tests.phpValuesStrengthsContributepaypal.me/synchrovercity This is a public episode.
