The gospel is our hope because it is our faith = see text Col. 1:23 • The gospel is the faith that we "stand" for. Phil. 1:27; Jude V3 • The gospel is the evidence of things hoped for. Heb. 11:1 • The gospel is our living hope. 1 Pet. 1:3 2. The gospel is our hope of peace. Col.1:20 • Through the blood of His cross. = The gospel. Ref. Rom. 5:1 • We rejoice because of the hope of peace. Rom. 5:2; Luke 10:20 • We have peace with God because of this hope. Ref. Rom. 5:1 • We have the peace of God because of this hope. Phil. 4:7 3. The gospel is our hope of Heaven. Col. 1:5 • Because of the gospel we have hope of glory = eternal life.
