Lesson Eight: The gospel is glorious because we get to tell it Intro: It's not only our duty but it is our privilege to share the gospel. Luke 17:9-10; Rom.1:14 1. Sharing the gospel is one thing that fulfills our purpose. God's fourfold purpose for our life is: • To Glorify Him. Matt 5:16; 1 Cor 6:20 • To be conformed to Jesus. Rom.8:29 • To have AGAPE love. Matt. 22:37-38; John 13:34-35; 1 John 4:7 • To propagate the gospel. Acts 26:16; Ref Matt. 4:19; John 15:16; 2 Cor 5:18-19 Fulfilling God's purpose is the merit for our reward. Matt. 25:21; 2 Tim 4:8 2. Sharing the gospel is one thing we can do for Jesus. • We have the privilege of being His laborers. Luke 10:2 • We have the privilege of being His witnesses. Luke 24:48; Acts 5:32 • We have the privilege of being needed by Jesus. John 14:12;John 15:16; Rom.10:14; Matt 16:24-26 • Jesus chose to need us but doesn't need us. – He could have used rocks. Luke 19:40 – He could have used angels. Rev. 14:6 3. Sharing the gospel is one thing that will matter in eternity. • It could be the difference in someone's destiny. John 3:36;Luke 16:27-28; Rom. 10:13 • It is the desire of God for everyone to be saved. Mark 16:15: 2 Pet 3:9 • It brings eternal joy to Heaven and us.
