Bennie Thompson (D-MS) of President Trump’s perceived unwillingness to act on January 6th. His remarks came as he delivered his opening statement during the January 6 Committee hearing on the investigation of the attack on the U.S. Capitol. This is the eighth in a series of public hearings - after months of closed-door investigations - detailing the committee findings on the January 6 attack. During her closing testimony, Vice Chair Rep.
