EJ Akins: the art of not caring and maintaining long-standing relationships

EJ Akins is this week’s Keoni Chats guest. EJ and I had a short time together while in high school and shared a year of football together. He virtually returns back to Oregon and we talk about topics that made me, as the host, reevaluate some aspects of my life. EJ opens up about his outside view of Portland’s Black Lives Matter movement. He was always seen with a smile on his face so we talk about his drive to keep smiling and being joyful. He speaks on keeping up with friends he made during middle or high school, which is astounding. EJ is also an ambitious man as he is the owner of two small businesses with family roots behind them.
