Nacido el 14 de junio de 1928 en Rosario, Argentina, hijo de Ernesto Guevara y Celia de la Serna, el “Che”, eligió un camino distinto al que muchos podrían imaginar para él dada su privilegiada posición económica. Pudo ser abogado, pero se interesó por la medicina y por la política. La guerra civil española lo puso en contacto con la realidad política y social del mundo y un recorrido de 4 mil 500 kilómetros por las regiones más pobres de Argentina le abrió los ojos ante la desigualdad. La medicina fue el puente para alcanzar lo que sería su destino: hacer la revolución para lograr un cambio social en América Latina. Pero el periodismo lo acompañó durante toda su vida, incluso durante sus largos días de lucha en la Sierra Maestra, en Cuba. El Che veía la injusticia. Era un marxista autodidacta que luchó por el socialismo para reemplazar al capitalismo. “El deber de todo revolucionario es hacer la revolución”. Es el ícono de la izquierda en América Latina y el mundo, rechazó las injusticias y la rebeldía ante un sistema que generaba y aún genera profundas desigualdades sociales. Por suerte, el sistema que se impuso en toda América es la Democracia, totalmente imperfecta, pero es lo que por ahora funciona, equilibrando los grandes poderes económicos que siempre perjudica a los trabajadores de todas las clases sociales…
