En 2020, se creaban alrededor de 300 mil nuevos podcasts cada mes. Sin embargo, a finales de 2021 y durante 2022, muchos de estos podcasts comenzaron a decaer. ¿Por qué? Aquí hay algunas razones: Migración a Video: Muchos podcasters decidieron trasladar su contenido a plataformas como YouTube, creyendo que allí encontrarían una audiencia más amplia. Desinterés en el Formato de Audio: La idea de que el podcast es un medio masivo ha llevado a la frustración por la falta de oyentes. La Realidad de los Podcasts Es importante entender que el podcasting es, por naturaleza, un medio de nicho. Aquí algunos puntos clave: Valor del Contenido: El valor de un podcast radica en el contenido que ofreces, no en la cantidad de vistas o suscriptores. Comunidad: Un podcast exitoso puede tener 200 descargas por episodio y seguir siendo considerado un buen podcast. La clave está en construir una comunidad en torno a tu tema. Desafíos en YouTube: Si bien YouTube es una plataforma masiva, el algoritmo no favorece el contenido de nicho. Esto significa que muchos podcasts en video pueden perderse entre la gran cantidad de contenido disponible. El podcasting es un espacio para crear comunidad y ofrecer valor, no necesariamente para buscar fama. La mayoría de la audiencia busca contenido que realmente les aporte.
