A los presuntos 24 años era uno de los integrantes de la mesa chica del COE y mostraba una especial predisposición en cualquier horario. Martín no era un hombre de excusas, ni siquiera después de largas jornadas de batalla de campo contra el Covid. Hablaba como un médico, incluso durante las charlas de descanso, cuando abandonaba la oficina que habían preparado especialmente para él. En uno de esos breves momentos de distensión acompañados de café, Martín le confió a otro especialista que estaba trabajando como residente en el área de cirugía del Hospital Córdoba. La conversación duró algunos minutos más, pero el dato no pasó desapercibido. El trabajador de la salud se comunicó unos días después con algunos colegas del nosocomio cordobés y les comentó sobre la joven promesa del COE. Ninguno de los cirujanos recordaba haberlo visto alguna vez. Rania Awaad Muslim Central Dr. Rania Awaad M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Stanford University School of Medicine where she is the Director of the Stanford Muslim Mental Health & Islamic Psychology Lab as well as Stanford University’s Affiliate Chaplain. In the community, she serves as the Executive Director of Maristan.org, a holistic mental health nonprofit serving Muslim communities, and the Director of The Rahmah Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating Muslim women and girls. In addition, she is faculty of Islamic Psychology at Cambridge Muslim College and The Islamic Seminary of America.She is also a Senior Fellow for Yaqeen Institute and the Institute of Social Policy and Understanding. Prior to studying medicine, she pursued classical Islamic studies in Damascus, Syria, and holds certifications (ijaza) in the Qur’an, Islamic Law, and other branches of the Islamic Sciences. Mohammad Qutub Muslim Central Dr. Mohammad Qutub is an Islamic scholar with several decades of experience as a teacher and orator. He completed his Master’s and PhD degrees in Uṣūl al-Dīn and Comparative Religion at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and has several Ijāzahs (licenses) and certificates in Qur’an, Hadith, etc. He has spoken internationally in the Middle East, the U.S., and Southeast Asia and regularly holds intensive seminars and university lectures. His passions and research revolve around: Islamic thought and history, Qur’anic Tafsīr, scientific Iʿjāz (inimitability) in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and comparative religion. He teaches students of all different ages and backgrounds in-person and online. He is also an engineer by profession with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the U.S., and extensive experience in the field of Industrial Gases.
