El Sueño Americano de Supertramp

Supertramp tardaron diez años en publicar lo que muchos consideran su obra maestra. ‘Breakfast in America’, publicado a mediados del mes de marzo de 1979, registró el momento en que las composiciones del pianista Rick Davies y el guitarrista Roger Hodgson alcanzaron su cénit comercial. A la vez, las sesiones del ‘Breakfast in America’ demostraron que la relación entre ambos compositores era la del agua y el aceite y se decía que muchas de las canciones del álbum estaban dirigidas a criticar al otro. Con todo, ‘Breakfast In America’ pronto se convirtió en el álbum más vendido de Supertramp. Alcanzó la categoría de Disco de Oro en abril de 1979 y encabezó las listas de éxitos en Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Noruega, Austria, Canadá, Australia y Francia.
