ELAINE CHIEW, AUTHOR - THE LIGHT BETWEEN US

On this podcast, Simon Lim interviews Elaine Chiew, a London-based writer. Elaine's short stories have won her awards. She shares with Simon about her first novel titled 'The Light Between Us' (published by Neem Tree Press in London). 'The Light Between Us' deals with time-travel and romance that spans lifetimes. It is a novel set against historical South East Asia including old Singapore and old Penang. There is mention of the Chinese Philomathic Society and Lock Hospital or Kandang Kerbau Hospital in Singapore. The Eastern & Oriental Hotel (E&O Hotel) in Penang has also been included in the story, and letters supposedly written in the 1920s and letters from modern day form part of the story. Learn more about this novel 'The Light Between Us' from author Elaine Chiew.
