There are many things that may cause us to doubt at times. For Elder Sears, understanding faith was essential in overcoming the natural tendency to intellectualize ourselves into the rabbit hole of doubt. Enduring a life-changing dark night of the soul, he eventually emerges victorious in his search for truth and finds that Jesus Christ truly is real. After much prayer, exercising of faith, and sincere pondering, he decided to serve a service mission for the church of Jesus christ of Latter-day Saints.
