Eleanor Nairne talks Philly Art Exhibit | The Midday Break Room w/ Tiffany Bacon - 2.18.26

Eleanor Nairne is the Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art and Department Head at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She joined from the Barbican in London, where she was Senior Curator. Before joining the Barbican, Nairne was the curator of the Artangel Collection at Tate, where she organized more than 30 exhibitions and installations across the UK. The Philadelphia Museum of Art is currently displaying the “Noah Davis Exhibition” until April 26th. Davis’s work captures the intricacies of Black life with tenderness and depth, linking personal and collective narratives in ways that profoundly resonate with our times. Arranged chronologically, the exhibition will feature work made from 2007 until his untimely death in 2015, addressing a wide range of subjects, including politics, family histories, mythology, race, architecture, and visual culture. Eleanor joins the show to further talk about the life and legacy of the late and great artist, Noah Davis, and to also further talk about the context behind his art exhibit.
