Eleanor Thomson

Eleanor Thomson or @nelnanandnora established a facebook group for sewing flat and asymmetrical clothes. This is a safe group to share sewing knowledge as well as they surgical and cancer journeys. Eleanor set up this group while she was facing her own breast cancer journey and found that sewing helped her build her body confidence. After speaking with Eleanor, there was certainly more to her story that includes sewing among many creative pursuits and running. She's continued to give back the community helping to raise money for cancer research and creating a space to sharing sewing as well. The Sewover50 Instagram community continues to grow because it supports their growing community of nearly 40,000 followers through their positive community values.
