From what we know so far, the answer to the question is yes.  There’s nothing compassionate about open borders. Not only are we hurting our own citizens (crime and all the associated costs), but we are also empowering some of the worst people on earth — the drug cartels — to take advantage of desperate people. Our “open borders” policy is, in short, a slow-motion catastrophe.  Carl does a deep dive into the question of birthright citizenship.
