Electric vehicles are picking up speed but have one speed bump. They're illegal

Guest: Lex Harvey, transportation reporter As TTC service cuts and dense Toronto traffic make commuting much harder, an increasing number of people find themselves turning to alternatives like personal electric vehicles, or PEVs for short. There are all sorts of oddball versions on city streets and those who use them say they might be the answer to traffic woes and they are environmentally-friendly. There's one speed bump — e-scooters and other PEVs (aside from e-bikes) are illegal in Toronto. We take a look at the hot new PEV culture picking up speed in the city.
