Memory Verse: ‭‭"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; But his heart is not with thee" - Proverbs 23:7 KJV Bible Text: ‭‭‭‭‭Genesis 13:14-15 KJV 14. And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: 15. For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. INSPIRATION: There comes a time in every man's life when certain circumstance may force you to think deeply or differently if you ever hope to keep your head above the waters or stay relevant in life. At this point, your thinking pattern is more objectively structured than it is subjective. You'd not limit your thoughts to primarily needs base but solution driven. You're not stuck in the immediate with no thoughts or plans for tomorrow. As you begin to pay keen attention to this evolving pattern, you'd find you're becoming more purpose-driven than ever. You can't rise or perform above your ability to think. Everyone is a manifestation or reflection of their thinking. You can't think poverty and operate in wealth; you can be sick in thoughts and be healthy in living; you can't think impossibility and be able to see vast possibilities to maximise. The sequence of life doesn't flow that way. There's always cause and effect. Hence, as he thinks in his heart, so is he. It took God to draw Abram's attention to a flawed thinking pattern. Don't think the problem, else it gets more magnified. Focus on what's ahead. Truth is, what lies behind you and what lays ahead of you are not as great as what's inside you! So God was saying to Abram, look inward and unleash your creative strength to pull through this ordeal. Look from where you are; look away from the immediate that's obvious. See the bigger picture. Believers must learn to think in pictures, big pictures at that because that was the order God was setting up with Abram. Think futuristic but not in blanks. You can only become what you focus your thoughts on. Abram elevated his thoughts to see the lands and children ever before they came into reality. There's a pattern of Spiritual principle this passage teaches: the spiritual controls the physical realities. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Elevated thought patterns broaden your ability to conceptualise realities that are not mundane. Be above in your thinking so you don't have to play in a debased league. PRAYER: Dear Lord, I receive grace to think and operate on a higher scale, and to have results that are not elementary. My eyes are lifted to see the world and realities that are possible just like Abram saw. I've a worldview that is not skewed to pursue material acquisition at the expense of living purposefully and creating life-lifting impact, in Jesus name.
