This singular act of Elijah initiated a nationwide reformation as the people fell on their faces in repentance, while all the false prophets of Baal were destroyed. Soon after this, rain came, signifying the end of a drought caused by their sinful ways, and this rain was a sign that the curse had been lifted. Joseph highlights the need to remove obstacles that hinder the Lord's blessings through revival, which, if addressed, will ultimately result in reformation.
