Elijah Kimble Commits to Syracuse | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

Elijah Kimble, Buffalo’s top running back prospect, just made his big move — committing to Syracuse, becoming the first four-star RB to do so since 2002. He dropped the bombshell at a community event, echoing Coach Fran Brown’s “best in NY stay in NY” mantra. Kimble had kept his commitment secret since June, but was sold by Syracuse’s player-first culture — career prep, financial literacy, and that family vibe. His family even hosted the announcement party. He’s eager to hit the field as a freshman, possibly as a third-down back and return specialist, and is already bonding with fellow commits like Amare’ Gough and Calvin Russell III — calling them “dawgs” ready to compete. He’s eyeing a future as a key offensive weapon, possibly alongside Tylek Lewis. Before signing in December, Kimble’s goal? Smash 1,234 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns in Western New York — and he’s here to make an instant impact.
