Elijah Moore Joins McNeese, Utah Seeks Guard Replacement

Elijah Choppa Moore, a former four-star recruit, is transferring to McNeese for the 2026-2027 season after a brief stint at Utah. Moore, a six-foot-four guard, played sixteen games for Syracuse as a freshman, averaging 5.2 points per game. Utah, meanwhile, is losing significant backcourt production, with both starting guards gone and ten players in the portal. McNeese, on the other hand, is acquiring Power conference transfers like Moore to fill holes left by the departure of six players from their NCAA tournament squad and a key starter due to eligibility.
