Elisha and the Syrian Problem

from KEEP the FAITH · host KEEP the FAITH

Benhadad lays siege against Samaria in spite of all that Elisha has done both to benefit Syria and to show Syria that God’s power is greater. But Israel has turned its back on God, and the Lord uses Benhadad to punish them. Inflation hits hard as supplies dwindle and the crisis becomes more extreme. Elisha’s trust in God’s promises, however, leads him to predict that food would be sold very cheaply in a short time. But the people lack faith. God delivers Israel from the Syrians by a noise. The lepers find the spoils, and Elisha’s prophecies are fulfilled. Listen carefully for the powerful end-time parallels.
