Elisha, Part 2, He Needed Music

1. This was a war between cousins. 2. Why is there war? 3. What about Elisha? 4. War brings a cacophony of confusion out of which we must come into the presence of God. 5. God guides us by Scripture and by the Holy Spirit's applying the Scripture to our everyday circumstances. 6. We must sing God's praises in order to be delivered from the cacophony of confusion that surrounds us. 7. What is a Psalm? 8. What is a hymn? 9. What is a song? 10. Redemption has been accomplished, and our songs must explicitly glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. 11. Some Psalms express despair and doubt about life after death. 12. The Law made nothing perfect, and the Old Covenant is obsolete. 13. Consider the worship of the book of Revelation: it is Trinitarian and focuses on the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ. 14. We must use music to get into the presence of God. 15. We must love our enemies.
