Elk Grove News Podcast - City of Elk Grove's year-round homeless shelter presentation

On Thursday, September 12, 2024, the city of Elk Grove held a community workshop on the planned year-round homeless shelter. That facility is scheduled to open on November 1, and operate for the next four years. The facility is located on East Stockton Boulevard just south of Elk Grove Boulevard at the site of the Calvary Christian Center. When the city announced the plans for the facility earlier this month, they were met with resistance. This meeting was scheduled to alleviate some of those fears.
