Ellie Masera is here with us for this episode, and for those of you who don't know - Ellie and I both played collegiately for Stony Brook but our playing careers unfortunately never overlapped while we were there. Ellie is a star emerging at the highest levels currently - playing for Athletes Unlimited professionally and making a mark in her international career with Team USA on the Sixes and field training team rosters. If you've ever watched Ellie play, you know she's a speedster who just makes the game look so effortless -- the most difficult plays seeming to come easy to her time and time again. But as we come to notice in talking through her journey on this podcast - she puts the work in when nobody is watching, she comes from a family whose passion surrounds the game, and she ultimately is a competitor that strives for success for her team no matter the circumstance. It was very intriguing for me to dive deeper into Ellie's story on this episode, and I feel closer than ever to my fellow Seawolf!
