This is a personal story, about my struggle with worry and concern because I take my role as a guardian to any animal who comes to me very seriously and she was given to me as a gift when I was in my 20's. When I couldn't find her after she slipped out of the enclosure in our yard, I felt devastated and talk about this in my story in the book. Eventually, I was able to come to peace about her decision to live the rest of her life as a turtle in the wild and am now happy for her. She has a boyfriend and girlfriends and she can swim freely to her hearts content.
