Elmendorf recognizes police chaplain

Elmendorf police Senior Chaplain David Kirk (left) awards Elmendorf police Chaplain Jim Stirnemann with his advancement to the rank of senior chaplain at a July 16 Elmendorf City Council meeting. Stirnemann, who has earned a number of commendations while serving with Kirk, has helped establish chaplaincy programs for multiple fire and law-enforcement agencies and received specialized training in critical-incident stress management and line-of-duty death response. His experience includes helping four young firefighters process a traumatic event.  Article Link
