Elon Musk Gives DOJ and Jack Smith Access to All of Donald Trump’s Tweets

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has announced that he will give the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Jack Smith, the special counsel investigating the January 6th attack on the Capitol, access to all of Donald Trump’s tweets. Musk made the announcement in a tweet on Tuesday, August 9, 2023. He said that he was “committed to transparency” and that he wanted to “help the DOJ and Jack Smith get to the bottom of what happened on January 6th.” The DOJ and Smith have been investigating the January 6th attack for over a year. They have subpoenaed a number of people, including Trump’s former aides and advisers.
