Hello, everybody, welcome to Elsworld Exchange, I'm Sal. I'm Joel. This little trailer came out, it's called Infinity War. We've been waiting forever, there's been like a million great opportunities for Marvel to drop this trailer.

They chose now because I guess nothing is out. So, no real competition to speak of. And what's funny is I was just looking at the official Twitter or YouTube account, the official release, which is actually in the description box below in this video itself. I wanted to link directly to it, because I've noticed there's a lot of copyright channels.

Yeah. Not copyright, like copycat channels that have the trailer, and they have like new reviews, but it's not them. This is the Marvels, it has 14 million views, it came out this morning. Damn.

I've never seen anything with a million likes besides things that involve cats, and there's not a set of cats except for Black Panther in this trailer. Who's something of a cat man? A little bit, if Falcon is to be believed. So, why are you going to jump into our thoughts, our theories, some spoilers about Infinity War's trailer, so you haven't watched the trailer, go into the description box, click on it.

But really, if you haven't watched the trailer already, what are you doing? Well, as this, watch the trailer, then jump in, we'll be right here just waiting for you. But before we do that, I wanted to talk a little bit about Justice League, and I don't want to like do that thing, where I'm like, it already looks better than Justice League. I'm not gonna do that, I'm not gonna say that.

I wasn't saying that then, I was just giving an example of what I could be saying, and I'm not doing. I wanted to just, I had this thought in the car on the way over to the studio, and I thought to myself, holy shit, this is awesome, immediately write itself, and I just wanted to say out loud, like my fan request for Justice League, and how it could have been immediately fixed, or fixed, because my one major critique of Justice League has always been, Stephen Wolf. Just everything about Justice League, leave it alone, I don't like Stephen Wolf. He's a black hole of a villain.

It sucks, worse than the worst Marvel villain. Like he was always gonna suck because there's nothing there to him, there was never anything there to him. His greatest claim to fame, even in the comics was standing next to vastly more interesting villains. Stephen Wolf sucks, and it's not even that he sucks in the comics, it's that he's infinitely more boring, and he doesn't have anything going for him, and the people who made the movie were like, screw it, I don't wanna talk about Stephen Wolf.

I don't wanna do comic books, I don't wanna make up a character, and call him Stephen Wolf, so it's like that sucks. So my original theory was to do Starro, but now I've got it, okay, and because it makes no sense in the context of Batman versus Superman. So with Batman versus Superman, at the end of Batman versus Superman, I don't wanna, I'm not gonna say spoilers, because fuck you, if you haven't seen it. I know, right.

Superman's dead corpse is in a box. Yes. And I think throws some dirt on it, and I'll let a shot of the movie is the dirt hovering off of the casket, just a little bit. Right, cause we don't want to make you think he's really dead.

Right, but also that like, he's not, well, where he's not really dead is the end of the movie. Right. And so the question was, how are we gonna bring him back? Justice League, there's a whole plot point about bringing him back, and it makes no sense in the context of the dirt.

No, it really doesn't. And also the heroes jumped the gun super hard, so it's like, hey, magic space in the gotha, I bet we could bring him back to life with this. Yeah, so with that in mind, my pitch is this, the villain of Justice League is the eradicator, because clearly one of those doesn't care about a crappy villain, right? No.

Who cares? The villain sucks, it's Steppenwolf, we'll make up our own. If you're gonna go dig into the bottom of the barrel for villains. You might as well.

You might as well use the eradicator. Now why eradicator specifically, and not like some other one-dimensional crappy villain? My reason for eradicator is simple. The reason the dirt hovers off of the ground isn't because of Superman's telekinetic ability to fly, it becomes a lot of sense.

It's because after Lois leaves, Kalex from the Forks of Solitude goes to Superman's grave and uses a tractor beam above the casket to pull his body out. And so what you were seeing was just a few seconds before a goddamn Kryptonian robot was pulling Kalex, not dead, but Kama-toes body out of the grave. She went Kama. Then you basically do a Warner Brothers movie version of the eradicator plot, where the eradicator is a program that is meant to enact the second that the last lineage of Krypton is dead, or is close to death.

So you activate the eradicator and either he's a robot, he's a clone body, or he's a consciousness within Kalex body. But the point being that you have a Superman who is awoken and twisted and maybe not evil, we don't wanna go bizarro, but we can do shavarro. But the point is you have your thing where the heroes are like, ah, we're screwed. There are mother boxes.

There is a looming threat from Dark Side, but Superman's dead. And then Superman comes back and he's wearing black, he's got a mullet and he's seemingly evil. And then there's this dude with a visor from Orbison's collection. He's gonna have sweet ass bread heart shades.

And he looks like Superman, but he's also an asshole. And you basically have this big conflict where the heroes have to save Superman. And Superman is the antagonist, even though he's not really an antagonist. He's an unwilling antagonist.

But would that work though in the world of Justice League, where Superman was already a controversial figure and already kind of an asshole for two movies? Yeah, he's not attacking the world or anything like that. He's just reacting against the Justice League. And then you basically just do a Justice League movie like that where they're just trying to save Superman.

And then instead of the big gun being unleashed within the first 20 minutes of the movie, which is Lois, the gun is the last thing. It's like, because Batman is cold and feeling. He doesn't think about attacking Superman's heart. So then finally when he's like, he's tried all his tricks, you throw out all the cool things that he did to Superman and the Batman versus Superman movie.

And then he's like, okay, brute force isn't working. My robot friend isn't working, my super fast friend isn't working, my Amazonian babe isn't working. What do I do? Oh, wait a minute, he's a person who's in love with someone.

And then Lois shakes him back to his core. That's your movie. Anyway. I feel at some point when it was meant to be two movies, there was probably something close to that supposed to happen when it was supposed to be two movies.

Yeah, right? I was just like, wouldn't it be cool if it was literally just the dirt coming off the coffin? Should've been a freaking robot like lifting his casket out of there. And it's not his time.

You have me at robot. You have me at robot. And that also solves a big problem with the movie. And that is you wouldn't have Cyborg and Flash desecrating Superman's grave site.

It's weird, it's weird and dicey. But you know what's funny? At no point was I like, this is important. I did not prove it.

But we'll get into Justice League in the future. I kept thinking where it's like, no, no, it's OK. They're digging up the grave. But the joke is going to be he's not in the box.

Oh, he is in the box shit. But I will get into Justice League on a more dedicated basis. In the future, with that being said, let's get into Infinity War. Thank you guys for indulging me in my fan theories and fan desires for Justice League to be awesome.

And I also just wanted to do like, hey, just give it a throw away villain. Make it something cool that they can fight that isn't going to be like a three act goddamn trilogy movie. So Infinity War dropped this morning. My inbox were destroyed by the time I woke up.

20 updates on my thing by the time I woke up on Twitter. I'm like, oh god, either someone died or an important trailer dropped. And indeed it did. Infinity War trailer is finally here.

And it looks nothing like the trailer that was leaked via the Disney thing almost six months ago. Something like that. Yeah, I did it. By the way, Nathan Berg and Super Chat just gave us an ellipsis and an exclamation point.

Thank you very much for digging in my just theory. Thank you, Berg, sir. Yeah, so I'm just thinking to myself, this is not the same trailer at all. No, it really isn't.

No, how did I say the trailer? Well, you know, you just go. Ways and means. We have both.

You have to Google it. And it's there. But I'm glad. I'm really glad it's not the same trailer.

I mean, are you? Yes, definitely. I mean, hey, what's that thing they say? Walk down any alley in Sin City and you can find anything.

Even Infinity War trailers you're not supposed to see. Yeah, exactly. I dug the shit out of this trailer. Just as we took Doug the last trailer that nobody but the people at that party got to see.

But that said, there were a few shades of that trailer that used a couple of moments from that. A couple of lines. Thanos is lying about, well, we'll get into it a minute. Will I ungolden the suit, which has his high guys?

Hello, Will. How are you, man? Hi, hi. So, OK.

Should we just talk about our initial feelings about it first and then jump into what we thought? Sure. Yeah, I think I thought it was really cool. I thought it was worth the wait.

I think it's super inciting. I like this feeling of where it's like, hey, you've been with these heroes for this long. You've been on this ride for this long. And this is the Grand culmination.

Much like the original Avengers was a Grand culmination. Yeah. Yeah. OK.

So one of the first things you hear in this trailer, he is the Avengers theme, which I was never a huge fan of, especially when it came out. The first one. Were you? No, I didn't like it.

I thought it was a little kind of on the nose. It didn't feel like a theme. But like to a show. No, it didn't feel like a like a like a theme that I wanted to hum to myself.

You know, like that means theme. It's always in the back of your mind, Superman's always in the back of my mind, but it's Elfman and Williams, you know, even Howard Shorten do this. I don't know who did the Avengers score. No, do I?

It's like you have to think a second to bring up the Avengers theme. Da da da da da da da da. Yeah, it's just it's a couple of movements and then like three thoughts. It's just it's fine.

I'm cool. Like it's you know, but then hearing it what? 10 years later? Mm hmm.

No, I'm sorry. Eight years. It was 2012. So six years later.

Alan Sylvesteri did the theme. Well, the fact that Alan Sylvesteri did it, here's my thing. Hearing it again in this context, I felt it. I felt it for the way they wanted me to feel it.

Right in the cockles. I finally got it. Because like when they played it in the first movie, I don't know. I was like, eh, felt a little bit like a little bit by the numbers.

Hearing it again in the context of like this finale. I really dug it. Absolutely. The fact that Alan Sylvesteri makes a lot of sense because he's the dude who did the Back to the Future theme.

Mm hmm. His only note from Zemeckis was I want it to be big. And we got the back to the thing was just one of the most iconic scores in some history. Really is.

I really like it. And I want them to explore the theme. I know we're just talking about music right now, but there's so much impact on Australia, even though it's only like one minute and a half or whatever. Something like that.

The theme itself could become something that is iconic. If they explore it, if they use it to, like if they weave the other characters into the theme somehow, if the theme like meanders and like oozes out and captures Iron Man, gives us a theme for Iron Man. Iron Man's theme is an ACDC song. We don't, we need something a little bigger.

Spider Man, we need a new theme. Hell, I'll take the Spider Man 60's theme, which we did beautifully in the beginning of the whole. They really did. It doesn't come back a lot, but it comes back a couple times.

It's that sweet violin that really sells it. Nailed it. Don't stop drilling, you hit oil in 1986. It's so true.

I can't believe I took them this long to go like, no, let's remix and remaster the original theme. Now, that said, I don't know if I thought I heard it a little bit in the actual movie, but like, no. When he doesn't think heroic, play that theme. Absolutely.

Similarly, when the Avengers are getting beat down, if they're being destroyed by Thanos, I think they will be. I want to hear the theme, but like, broken, like in Batman Beyond when you heard the Superman theme and Superman is twisted and manipulated by Starro. And it's a couple of chords off. It's a little darker, a little more broken.

I want to hear a theme that's just wrong. Yeah. Anyway, so just right off the bat, you hear the theme, I got nostalgic for something I didn't even really, really care for. So they must be doing their job.

They must be doing something right. So that's a good deviation from the original trailer that nobody saw, except for everyone. Except for everyone. The worst kept secret and trailer, Dom.

Yeah. A lot of, they don't, they're not hiding anything in this trailer. No, not at all. This trailer does not try to play any games with you.

I think they know at this point, there's no secrets. Any, like, left. It's true. And yet Marvel usually always does have a couple secrets up their sleeve because they'll do that bit where it's like, here's a scene.

Oh, but we actually switched out the background. So when you see that scene, it happens, but not the way it was in the trailer. Or we wholly omitted a character. All the Civil War trailers had no Spider-Man in them until they wanted him there.

Yeah. And even then, he wasn't in that trailer until the last shot. And then once you watch the movie, boom, there it is. But OK, you know what?

We're here. We're talking about speculation. What are they hiding? If they're not.

Very good question. What about this trailer suggest they're hiding anything? I mean, for something as big as this, you figure they got to have something in the hopper. But at the same time, it's like, what do they have left to show us?

I have a theory about what the next Avengers movie is going to be called. And I think the hint is in the title screen of the movie. At the end of the trailer, they show you Avengers Infinity War. Right at the top of the A, it's cracked.

Right. I think they're going to call the movie Avengers disassembled in this movie. Interesting, interesting. By the way, Joshua of Grand Rapids, being able to view as you air is the best thing about having my graveyard shifter schedule right back.

No really put just happy to be here. Well, welcome. Thank you. I'm glad you're able to check us out live.

I'm glad that all of the rest of you are here live checking us out. But yeah, I think they're hiding the kind of big punch drop of the end of this movie. Because while Feidey has been saying, originally, we're going to make two movies. But now it's like, oh, they're two very different movies.

And so it's like, hey, Infinity, Avengers 4 might just be another movie. Like, I'll try and come back. I don't think that's going to happen. But I do feel like it is going to be a continuation.

And it might as well just be the closest thing to Avengers. Everything's fucked. Yeah. The chattice theorizing, wouldn't it be great if the TV characters are what they could possibly be hiding if we could get a little Netflix love?

I really want that. I do too, but I fear the ship has sailed on that. I think that there's a lot of bad blood over there for no good reason whatsoever. We can do a whole episode just about how childish and pathetic and frustrating it is that the movie studio and the TV studio can't get along.

But the fact is, you shoot in Atlanta. You could just bring Charlie Cox down, put him on the New York set, have him go like holy shit, and then leave. All you need is a couple of shots. Hell, you can work it into the TV schedule.

Hey, we're shooting the scene. It's going to be on the corner. He's going to wear the dandel costume up. Could you look up there and just go, oh my god.

And then we're just going to cut. Is that too much? Is it too much to ask? Right.

But yeah, I think they're hiding the name of the next movie. The fact that it is going to be a continuation of this movie. And of course, any Fox properties that might be loosing. But that's the rumor.

That's the thing. I mean, do you think the timetable on that would work out? I think that I think definitely, if anything works out, if they've been working on anything clandestinely, quietly, irrespective of the Fox Disney merger that might be happening, I think that we will see it as a post credits moment at the end of this movie. Right, because they can film that right up to the final moment and just put it in.

Literally in June. It's true. Get Ryan down here. Put him in the fucking red suit.

Yeah, I mean, come on, right? So yeah, there's a lot of like, I'm sure that even though it looks like they gave us everything in this trailer, there's going to be a lot of surprises. There's going to be a lot of things we don't know. They keep saying there's going to be something in this movie that they've never done before in any of the Marvel movies.

I don't even know what that could possibly mean. I don't know either. That is so vague. It's just like a lot of people jokingly say, oh, you mean a death that matters?

Oh, come on. I mean, so OK, we could talk about our theories, I guess. Just theories about what's going to happen for this movie. I think everyone's going to die in this movie.

Yeah, you think? I think they're going to kill everybody. Because I think that they're afraid of giving Tony Stark like a real death scene and being like, no, no, no. We cast this great young actress.

She's going to be really, really, and we're going to keep going with these movies. Our Don Sheila is going to keep going. Yeah, I don't think they're going to do that properly. I think they'll just say like, oh, no, no, Tony Stark, retires.

I don't think they're ever going to do a scene in like Iron Man 4, Iron Man dies. And that's the case for everyone. So I think that there's no question that they are definitely going to probably kill everyone. Get a great awesome death scene out of everybody so that when Cap gets the gauntlet, he can make everybody come back.

Wish them all back. Yeah, or go back in time or whatever you need to do. But the fact is that we can have our cake and you do it. We're going to see everybody die, and it's going to be crazy.

And the real, we didn't fake you out. We didn't lie to you. No, no, no, no. Everyone really did die.

Yeah. And then you need to come back to life. Noah Botello or Botello in the Super Chat says, what if Infinity War is the fight to stop Thanos from getting the gems and Avengers 4 is the actual Infinity Gauntlets to all of them? It could be.

There's a lot of moments in this trailer where we see boots on the ground battling Thanos, and he's always got two gems in the gauntlet. That could easily be the last five minutes of the movie. It could be. Especially given the fact that there seems to be a huge subplot about Wakanda.

Yes, which I mean, I think that's great. That Wakanda is getting so much trailer time here before Black Panther even comes out. It's really sending the message, hey, if you were thinking on Sleeping on Black Panther, don't. Yeah, I think Wakanda is going to be the helms deep of the event to try to try to try to try to try to try to.

Like that. If Wakanda falls, everything's lost. Wakanda is the last bastion of humanity there. Because Wakanda has never fallen, Black Panther will say.

Exactly. The fact that there's so many heroes congregated in Wakanda, the fact that we get that wonderful moments where everybody's just like running at the camera and you got Hulk, Black Panther, Captain America, Winter Soldier, War Machine, Black Widow, and associated Black Panther characters running stuff. I think that the door on the chair. Yeah, I think we're going to see that they have the last infinity stone.

Right. Which ain't it? If they lose, that's it. Like game over.

Which a speaking of Ed Dzon in the Super Chat there says, there's a lot of emphasis on protecting Wakanda question mark soul stone. Yeah, probably because we still got one stone missing. Black Panther is up next. That would be the place to say.

Maybe the Panther totem is the soul stone because it has the souls of the past Black Panthers in it. Or we access the soul world through the soul stone. And that's how we get to have the Black Panther god and stuff like that. Yeah.

The law of Shelley says, will this concept be overwhelming for a two hour movie? You know, it's a great question. Like, will audiences have the patience or the willingness to understand what this premise is? Yeah, I think so.

I think at this point, I think at this point, if enough characters are hilarious and witty and fun, and there's enough cool shit. And I don't mean just like, look, it's flying monsters. And they're fighting them. Like, no, if the villains are compelling and interesting, cool, and if the characters that we've come to love are directly involved, I think they're going to buy it.

I think so too. It's also, oh, sorry. I was just saying, you made the Lord of the Rings comparison? I mean, was it overwhelming in those movies?

Yeah. They're referencing fathers of characters you never meet. So yeah, I think that's ship of sales. We're already on board for deep, not deep.

This is not going to be a deep movie. But this is for mythology and for character depth. And like, pay offs from other movies and everything. Exactly.

Comic gobble, super chances, vision, all which together, teasing, disassembled. Yeah, no question. We're going to see them. Get together.

We saw a shot in the trailer. I think we're visions of man. Yes, he has a human form now. I hate that because it makes me feel like he's like, what if I were a person?

I'll use the mind stone to make you see me as a person. That way I don't have to wear this goddamn makeup again. Well, maybe his character journey will be to learn to love himself as a robot. I mean, there's no other way he couldn't.

He's an exerably a robot. That's the end of it. Will I am golden back in the super chances. If he also has the endos, he's gathering and he's going to fight a greater evil.

What's greater evil than Thanos? If at the end of the movie they defeat him, they take the gauntlet, maybe they unwill it into existence or out of existence, or they scatter the gems, or he's just like, you don't understand, Galactus is coming. That's the only way they could make it a greater evil is oh fuck, Galactus is coming to eat Earth. And by the way, honestly, I think that I don't think that the post-credits scene at the end of this movie is going to be a Fox property, but I do think that there's no place for them to go.

But at the end of Infinity War four or Avengers four, it's just Galactus. Right. And either it's like his head moves, you just literally rip off the Thanos moment where the head moves, you see the goddamn big headgear. Purple helmet, yeah.

And I think that even if they don't get Fox, even if they don't work out a deal, they could have gotten for that ego exchange. Or are they going to trade it something? You can trade it just to mention Galactus. So it's like you just do the tease for Galactus, even though they've got no ducks in a row for that, just to go like, hey listen, Thanos didn't even show up for six or seven movies after we show space.

I didn't even look anything like that anymore. So come on, I think that you're going to see a Fox tease at the end of the next Avengers movie, not this one. I mean, they could also do some shit with Skrulls, now that we know Skrulls are going to be a thing in Captain Marvel, imagine if they did avenge or secret invasion. I think that's probably the next move.

I think it's more likely to be the next move, given Captain Marvel's involvement and the fact that they're doing apparently the Kree Skrull war. And that's like Marvel Kree Skrulls. Absolutely, it's also a great way to bring back any actors who may have died who you might want to see again, where it's like, hey, what about Jeff Bridges as an Obadiah Stain, now he's a Skrull? Maybe he was always a Skrull.

Skrull, but I abstain, there you go. I think that you could definitely fix a lot of problems with your dead villains by making them all Skrulls. Remember that manger and you hate it, also Skrull? Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of things you could do with Skrulls, but I think that's thinking, that's thinking in Feige's 20 movie Future.

Yeah. Yes, Sam Daxx and the voice of Ms. Groull. Oh no, not Sam Daxx.

But in terms of this trailer alone and just the implications thereof, are there any other moments that stood out for you that made you go like, I can't believe I just saw that. I mean, Bearded Captain America, who's basically in full on Nomad Mode, that's pretty cool. Yep, oh, the moment where, to Charles says get this man of shield. Yeah, get this man of shield.

Oh my, holy shit. I wonder, Jeffy, what are the odds that Captain America will give a big heroic speech again? Cause you mentioned Lord of the Rings, and other may come a time when the heroes of the Marvel Universe and our spirit dies, and we're gonna see a moment where Captain America gives more like an Independence Day speech, where he's like, I used to stand for America, but now I stand for the world. Yeah.

As the world is under fire, today is our Independence Day. Exactly. Oh, maybe he'll finally get to do the Avengers assemble and actually get to say it. And that's the thing, I think we're finally gonna get someone saying Avengers assemble.

Yeah. And I can also see, yeah, I can see that happening. Iron Spider suit, that's another thing. They teased it, now we're gonna see it.

Now we're gonna see, I mean, we all knew we were gonna see that shit. They made it, it's all fully CG rendered, there's no question they're gonna use that. Now the question is, will it survive after Pia Parker is killed by Thanos in this movie? Oh.

Cause everyone's gonna die, remember her. Now that said, by the way, Aperpo Spider-Man, there is a moment in that trailer where I went, yay, they actually did it. We got his Spider-sense. Yes, yes, that's right.

The hair stands up on his arm. The one thing we didn't get from the other movie. And you know, like here's the thing, we got it. It's just that they didn't do a whole CG, like Sam Raimi, Swomo Bullet Time.

In fact, he has a moment in Civil War where he knows something's gonna throw at him when he's not. Like, you know, but the arm hairs like going immediately up, I think that's gonna be his like, a visualization of his Spider-sense. Now we're not seeing it constantly, but we will see it like come in. Maybe they'll retcon it where like everything is, like where he's like, it's only when like the world's being threatened that I feel like this.

Nice. Yeah. Nice, that's a good one. Hey, the magic character's got some more stuff to do.

We got to see Wong and Doctor Strange hanging out. And they're both whipping out the, you know, whatever the hell's the magic, the little shields. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Interesting.

I'm not used to Wong wielding magic. He's too Wong protecting Doctor Strange. I got it. I'm just gonna put on some karate or some kung fu moves.

It's fine. I think that's cool. I think that we're gonna see some really, really great matchups and the fact that that cameo of Doctor Strange is in for Ragnarok was so great. Makes me think I can't wait to see him and everything.

Like Doctor Strange is a movie like it or not. I thought it was fine. I thought it was a lot of numbers. Didn't give me a good indication as to what we could expect from Doctor Strange in the future.

Doctor Strange from Ragnarok, I'm like, oh shit, yeah, no, I'm ready for that Doctor Strange. She plays really well off other people. And that's comic book Doctor Strange. He's got very much though.

He's got no patience for everybody else. He's already a master. He's the source supreme. Like we're ready to go.

He's ready for this shit. I'm really excited to see this Doctor Strange interacting with the rest of the team. I was hoping to see a Doctor Strange Iron Man team up, but I don't think we're gonna see that. No, it seems like they've decided who's gonna be broken up with who.

It seems like Spider-Man and Doctor Strange because they're both in downtown New York. Iron Man and everyone else. The whole Wakanda crew over here. It actually does look like the movie's gonna be split up into quite a few moving parts.

And then you got the space guys. We did, okay, so we got a moment in the trailer that we comic book fans are like, oh, I know what that is. And it's gotta be the moment where Hulk falls through the skylight in the second slot. Love it.

Love it. It's gonna be straight out of the Infinity Gauntlet when the Silver Surfer crashes through the ceiling of the Silver Surfer. But we don't have the rights to Silver Surfer to just make it Hulk. Well, it would make no say, it would be weird to introduce the Silver Surfer in a cat context.

It really would be. So make it the Hulk, Hulk gets his ass trans by Thanos in the ship, then he gets sent back to Earth. He falls to the thing. But we see that he goes through a little journey.

Like we see that he goes to New York. He gets discovered by Doctor Strange. He does end up in Wakanda. So there is gonna be like, there's gonna be some glow popping and some, maybe we will have a moment where we see everybody in one place at one time in one room and go like, okay, okay, let's do an inventory.

Everybody that's cool in these movies. You know that's gonna be the hero shot because they have to top the hero shot that everyone has tried to top from the first Avengers. And that is the big round camera pan to everyone standing together. They're gonna need to do that, but with everybody.

It's the moment that everyone points to when they talk about comic book movies working and the big moment from any comic book movie. Avengers 2, try that shit with that big shot. Everybody jumping, but they're fighting nobody and it doesn't matter. It's like who cares?

And they open with it, it's too early in the movie. Too early, you gotta see everybody. There's a lot of really cool shit in there. Somebody mentioned something in the chat that gave me applause because I was like, oh boy, we're gonna see the Hulkbuster armor again.

Yes, yes we are. But Jay Ripley thinks that it's gonna be Bruce Banner and the Hulkbuster. My buddy Matt pitched that same idea because he's afraid to Hulk out after Thor Ragnarok again because he doesn't know if he'll lose control. Tony gives him the armor and then maybe he ends up hulking out inside the armor.

I'm thinking this is what's gonna happen with that. And this is just pure comic book and geeky speculation. So please bear with us because we're just talking about trailer and some of it in 30 seconds. Well, as can we fill an hour with?

But the fact is I'm thinking this. Bruce Banner coming off of the Ragnarok, he's afraid to give the Hulk the keys to the car. He doesn't want to drive. But he's the spirit is willing and he wants to help.

Iron Man understands this and he thinks, okay, technology is the solution to this problem. I'll give you Veronica, you jump in, you kick the shit out of people. It fails because of technology and it's a big suit against Thanos who's got the power stone and it's like, no, that's not gonna work. We're gonna get to see it and it's gonna look awesome.

But at the end of the day, Bruce is gonna lose in the suit because at the end of the day, it's not as strong as the Hulk. We do see the Hulk at the Wakanda battle. I think we're gonna see two temptations of Hulk. The first one is gonna be Tony Starktron appeal to his science background being like, you'll do, if you don't trust the Hulk, trust in my armor.

He actually maybe gets more PTSD as a result. He's afraid of Thanos. Maybe he's afraid that he'll lose control of the Hulk and then we'll have two giant monsters. I can shoot it.

But when we see Bruce Banner go to Wakanda, it's gonna be probably to use Bruce Banner's brain. Tony Starktron can't go to Wakanda to solve whatever technological or scientific problem they have over there so they send Bruce because he's no use as no Hulk. We send Bruce to Wakanda. We're gonna get that Helms Deep last stand and then Captain America says, I've always believed in you.

Yeah. And Hulk's like right on and you're just like, it's this great moment where it's like, it's character payoff and it's growth for Bruce. Where he's like, maybe I can trust the Hulk. Captain America can trust the Hulk.

Maybe I can too. And hey too, if we have the Soul Stone, maybe it's a thing where Bruce is like, hey can I hold the Soul Stone for a minute? He takes like an inward journey to talk to the Hulk and be like, look, we don't like each other. I know you hate me most of all, but the world needs saving.

So can we please come together on this? And you see a fusing of the Bruce Hulk personalities. I'm totally on board for that by the way. And it goes right in line with what Feikey was saying about the three movie Hulk journey that's going on.

Yeah, yeah. I definitely see them ending the next Hulk or the next Avengers movie with a Bruce Banner Hulk like Sidecar. Yeah. I hope they have an actual literal Sidecar.

Yeah. Listen, if Joss Whedon were making it or if James Gunn were making it, I could actually see them shooting a sequence where they're in like a sweet Corvette or a sweet topless like muscle car and then Hulk driving and Bruce in sunglasses just riding down a Nevada desert street. By the way, Moana Shelley says, where will the MC go out with this movie? Ultimate?

I'm going to put a pin on that. I will get back to it though. Also, Neo Gecko 815 says, hi, Sal and Joel, do you think the movie that Marvel, do you guys think Marvel did what they did with the Ragnarok trailer and made minor or major tweaks to certain shots of scenes? Absolutely.

Yeah. Yeah. But we also had online because there's the internet to contend with. Yes.

But we do see Thor gets picked up by the Guardians and says, who the hell are you guys? He has his eyes and he has Mjolnir. He sure did. He surely did.

Mjolnir, one eye. Yeah. Let's say about that. They're definitely re-shot stuff for that.

Oh yeah. Can we talk about the Guardians introduction? I think that's so great. I think it's so indicative of where they stand in the pecking order of Marvel that they were the final bit of the trailer.

Yeah, interesting. Because I thought you'd lead with Tony Stark and his view of this chaos. But we see a lot of them, but mostly in the Iron Man suit, which is rare. But yeah, the Guardians talk about them.

To have them to be like, hey, everyone, you thought this shit was crazy. I already guessed what. The Guardians are in this too. Yeah.

I am so hyped for the Guardians being in this. Me too. Here's the thing. The Guardians being in this means this movie really must have cost $500 million.

Oh, I'm sure. I'm sure they won't even tell us how much this cost, just in salary before they even do marketing. Because we can do a rundown of characters that are only CG. Yes.

Thanos is only CG. Hulk is only CG. Rocket, raccoon works. He's only CG.

Rocket is only CG. Vision sometimes. Who? I said vision is only CG, but sometimes.

Vision is mostly CG. Spider-Man, particularly in the Iron Spider suit, most of the CG, Iron Man, most of the seven fully rendered human characters who have to have dynamic movements, talk, and emote, maybe not the Hulkbuster armor, but it's also entirely CG. But again, all using computer-generated effects to make them come to life. They're all OK.

The fact is just unbelievable. But those seven characters, when Fox can barely get four. Guy know, right? And one of them is just a woman who goes away.

Yeah. I would love to know. And they know they're going to make every penny back, probably in the opening weekend. I think 14 million views by the time I watched it, which was only about 40 minutes ago.

Let me take a look. Every one of those people buys a ticket, and they probably will at how much tickets cost. 19 million views, 1 million thumbs up. This is exactly what I would point to when people talk about superhero movie fatigue and why it just didn't work.

It is not about the fact that there are people in costumes punching each other that makes these movies not succeed. I think that this movie will not only make its money back. Oh, yeah. I think it will probably be one of the highest superhero films of all time.

I'm sure it will, because it's a brand people trust. It's a brand people have followed. It's characters that people feel invested in and want to see their further adventures. And Marvel has made good on their promise.

Look, we're going to pay stuff off in here from the other. We're going to set up stuff here for the next movies down the line. And of course, superficially, we could also say, hey, how many of you guys love Robert Denny Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and we got all the Chrises. No, we sell Donna and Scarlett Johansson.

We got the highest grossing, highest paid actors in movies today. Even if you don't like colorful superheroes, you do love seeing these actors walk around and say stuff. So you're going to get to see it. Paul Rudd charming.

Paul Rudd? Holy shit, we didn't even see him in this trailer. I know we did. And I love Ant-Man.

Ant-Man's like my dark horse pick. And we don't even see him. He was in the trailer all the time. He's just really, really small.

The entire time. I will say this is another trailer. But the Vanity Fair covered piece was very, very happy to see Wasp on the cover. Like that.

So I liked all those Vanity Fair covers. I think they look really cheap. But I also was just excited to see everybody in the same space. Even if they're all obviously photoshopped into the TV.

By the way, Keith One-Shot says, Justin was awesome. Don't leave a hate. I saw it. I had a great time watching it.

So it was perfectly out of a way. I mean, I'm just saying people were associating Justice League with Superhero Movie Fatigue. I'm like, that ain't the case. Now that said, my question to you is, Avengers 4, you think it's going to do as well?

I mean, you got to wonder what's the ceiling on this. I thought I knew the ceiling on this. But then Thor-Ragnar comes along and does better than the other two previous doors in the franchise. Yeah.

Now that said, I think Thor-Ragnar they also were conservatively priced. Like they really were smart with their investment. They were. I hope that 4 is as hyped.

But I also don't want them to be like, OK, we spent, let's call it $800 million to make Avengers 3. Well, it made $2 billion. I guess we should spend $1 billion on Avengers 4. Like, no!

Oh, shit. I forgot. OK, 7 and C2 characters. Oh, that doesn't also mean I forgot to mention all of Thanos' children.

Yeah, the Dark Order of Proxima Midnight. So forth. Like, whoa. Ebony Ma, who apparently we see him for like a second.

Yeah, we did for a second. I really wanted. This trailer does a great job of just hyping you. They really do.

It doesn't really introduce you to the main players. Because they don't need to. They know they already got you by the short and curly. It just shows you the scope, which I think is so smart.

Because now you can do a scene or you could do a whole trailer with Corvus Glaev. Yeah. And just how messed up he is. And he can say a bunch of fucked up things.

And you only see vision in the trailer. People still have 14 million views on it. Absolutely. I think it's just a smart trailer because it doesn't try to be something else.

It doesn't go in some weird direction where they're like, no, no, no. It's just Sam Jackson and Tony Stark debating the merits of Super Herodom. Yeah, really? Yeah.

You're like, no. It's all your favorite action figures in one sandbox. They're throwing magic at each other. It's awesome.

It's a Super Hero Smackdown. We're going to have all sorts of run-ins from all your favorite heroes. It's going to be great. Exactly, exactly.

It's a stacked 30-man tournament. Who's coming out at number 29? Oh, it's the War Machine. Any other moments for you that we got to make sure we talk about that one?

Oh, yeah. I mean, just. While you're thinking of that, I'm sorry. I just wanted to readdress Moab's question about where will the MCU go.

I think that'll be our last question. Let me hold onto that. I want to address that last. By the way, somebody mentioned in the chat earlier that they were like, Tony Stark is going to die, save his Spider-Man.

Spider-Man's going to die, saving Tony Stark. Oh. Oh, no. So sad.

And by the way, he's going to come back to life. It's not like, oh, no, he's dead forever. He's going to come back to life. No one ever is dead forever.

I mean, frigging Vision gets owned pretty hard in a scene we knew had to happen where Thanos is like, hey, you know that thing that powers you and gives you life? Give me, give me, give me. Oh, Loki is there too holding the cosmic cube. That's interesting.

So Loki's going to be part of this too as well. Oh, yeah. Oh, no question. It's a stroker genius to put in one of Marvel's only successful villain.

I'm guessing this will continue his redemption arc that started in Ragnarok and everything where it's like, hey, Loki, do I get to be an Avenger and a man? Oh, no. I think we're going to see Loki go like, hail Lord Thanos. He's going to turn code.

Yeah, because he was working for him before. I'd love to see Thanos jump and be like, hey, I glenched you an army. I let you all this other time. I let you one of my stones and you fucked up and I didn't get anything back.

Oh, I think it's going to be legitimately like, he's like, oh, hell Lord Thanos, I present you a gift. And Thanos will take the cube and then beat the shit out. Just pimp slap him away. I've got enough people.

I'm good. I'm not going to make deals with the god of mischief and lies. I'm. Oh, can we talk about that too, Thanos?

Again, he's casual Thanos again for the whole thing. Yeah, casual Thanos. Well, I mean, if you are a god, I guess you don't need to wear cool armor. No, and if you have your gauntlet again, that's all the armor you need.

Yeah, I want it. I want it. I want an armored Thanos. I hope we get him.

Just for a minute. He doesn't have to wear it the whole movie. Just when he shows up and he's being all regal and everything, let him have the armor. Make it make it like Dragon Ball Z.

It's all weighted. So when he's really serious, he takes it off so he can move faster. Damn it. Make it like Dragon Ball Z says, it came to Joel.
