Alright, let's get on with the show. Weeding down upon the underworld to smash gangland, guns, a friend of the unfortunate, enemy of criminal. In a serious, all powerful character, a problem to the police, but a true state of law. Hello everybody and welcome to Off the Rack.

This is a very special episode, I'm Sal. I'm Tiffany. Instead of doing our usual comic reviews, we're just gonna hang out with you guys in chat for a little while and give you recommendations for coming out this week. Stick around, hang out with everybody, join the population and get to know this incredibly tight-knit click that we call an amazing online community.

So yeah, we're just gonna jump into some chats, hang out with you guys. I'm also incorporating the spinner rack into the set a little bit because more than a few people have been giving me real hard time for no good reason about the fact that we're trying things out with the backdrop. And we're like, what? A brick wall?

I don't understand. I don't mind it. Yeah, it's a thing. I don't mind it at all.

I like brick. Thank you, so do I. This is a great question that just came up from the terror of death in the Super Chats. He asked a question that I've been like, when are you gonna get in on this?

He said, hey Tiffany, what are your thoughts on the new Runaways book so far? Yeah, tell him what you think about the new Runaways book. I heard the first issue of it and then... I don't know.

Because like, it's... No, it's not against the book at all. There's nothing against the book whatsoever. I remember reading the first issue and then I don't know what happened after that and now I think they're on like issue...

Like 20 or something? Yeah, like I'm so far behind. So... Yeah.

And it's like, it's a great... I really dropped the ball on that one. I've heard great things about this book. Spoiler is you brought back a character that was like, you need that character, because it's great.

But yeah, I like what you do. Just, yeah, like really was excited where it was going and then it's like, I don't know. I don't know what happens to me sometimes. I used to keep like a bullet journal of the comics that I wanted to check when they were coming out and yeah, that doesn't really necessarily always work when I'm buying a lot of things digitally because they don't have the bullet journal with me.

I don't know. Totally my fault. But from that first issue, I really dug that they were trying to like, re-establish the nostalgia of the first like, Runaways. So like that Brian K.

Vaughn era Runaways. That's the thing, like, because I remember Whedon took over the Runaways and like, kind of like, tanked the entire franchise. So it would be interesting to see somebody actually do something really fun and good with it. Yeah.

And I've heard only good things. I've never heard anybody say it's either overrated or that Vaughn's was better. I mean, I think everybody agrees with Vaughn's is better, but like, it's more that like, Vaughn set the stage better. And now it's like, someone actually can do something with it.

Yeah. As opposed to what Whedon did, which was just kind of like, piss on it. So let's jump into some super chats because that's the best way for us to actually like, mitigate questions. Otherwise just up to zillion questions and then we do what we did last time.

If you've ever seen our live shows before super chats, it was just trying to find all the questions and it wound up becoming an impossibility and people would get skipped when they shouldn't know. And it wasn't very everybody. So a great equalizer has been super chat thing, which I apologize for the necessity, but it is a way to make it a little bit easier to isolate those questions. And I did see a couple of questions.

I saw one that was great. So I'll jump into super chats just a second, but I want to address it because it has something to do with our appearance. If you don't comic on September 15th, if you want to go, you should be doing a panel on September 15th from 3 to 4pm. There's a whole video on it in our channel.

Go check it out to find out more and how you can win free tickets. We're going to be picking a winner this week and we will announce that winner. Well, we're going to let you know personally that we'll announce the winner either on another live show or on social media and on the live show. The next live show probably Elsworld Exchange.

But he had a question. He said, are you going to meet Kevin Conroy at Keystone Comic Con? Because Kevin Conroy, the true voice of Batman, will be Keystone Comic Con. Yeah, we're going to be in Kevin Conroy in a big, bad way.

So if you want to see what I'm talking about, you've got to go to Keystone to find out because I'm not going to be filming that. But man, are you going to really dig that? Like it's going to nuts what we're doing and how we're doing it. So yeah, let's jump in.

The Red Samurai, would you consider doing Elsworlds about unproduced superhero films? I think we almost did. I remember we did something to that, something similar in the earlier days. Batman, Trium, for Death of Superman and my favorite Justice like Mortal, maybe bringing Jason Inman or Mr.

Sunday News. Mr. Sunday would be a welcome. I mean, Jason would be great to be.

I mean, obviously. I mean, obviously. Yeah, Jason's also like super busy nowadays. It's harder to like coordinate our schedules.

Like that would be like Mr. Sunday would be a great addition to that particular episode. Absolutely. And we have talked about all those movies at some point or another, but not at length and not about like the phenomenon that was there.

Right. Just like Mortalings would be. There needs to be like a book, like a coffee table book for Justice like Mortal. Like the do-to-made Mad Max Fear Road in Australia making a Justice League movie with no context, no previous like anything.

Like just, okay, we're going to rebuild the DC Universe into an interconnected movie universe before anything and without anybody. So like no one's coming back. No one's bringing like resurrected. We're going to recast everybody.

We're going to bring in like Martian Manhunter and friggin like, and of course you've seen some of the production photos of like Wonder Woman. It was like, oh my God. Okay. So you were just like, wonder where needs to be pretty?

The end. Yep. But Armie Hammer was going to be Batman. Which is like, oh, I love that idea.

Back then it was a great idea. Particularly the way they handled it was great where they flew in everyone who was going to be in the Justice League except for Batman first. And they all got to know each other for a few days and then he came in. So he had to feel like an outsider.

That's really genius. It seems like yesterday that Tiffany and Selk got married. Aw, yeah. Thank you very much.

It does be like that sometimes. Yeah, it's almost been a year by the way. A couple more ones. Yeah.

It's crazy. Is that an actual, are those actual wizard magazines? No. These are hero illustrated magazines.

No, but they are. Yeah, it's nothing but wizard magazines. I took- When we built the rec room or the like sitting area. When I built like, we built a special like hangout area that's supposed to evoke.

I was thinking that would be really fun to make it look like a kid's basement from the 90s but like, I didn't do that. I was thinking I might actually make one of the walls into like a kid's basement. Okay. Like to make it look like a 90s kids basement.

Right. Yeah. I don't know what show would be shot there. What would be the point of that?

And what would be the point of that? It was kind of like a fun way to like use the Batman posters and the crap we had. Yes, be fun. But when we built that, we wound up using the giant shelf that you may have seen in like various social media that we've used for my action figures.

Like dumped them all into a bin and went, no, starting from scratch. We didn't create a wall out of it. And because the wall it's got, it's so, they're so deep the cubbies that one whole half can be used for comics. So to hold comics off of this thing and shove them onto that thing.

And so I needed to do something with this with this interact. Which by the way, Wizard magazines and other various. It's just wizard because I try we got we inherited a huge supply of Nintendo power magazines, classic Nintendo power magazines. They don't fit.

They're too big. They're real magazine size. These are these are comic size. So, so no.

Otherwise you would see like, those Nintendo power magazines? Unfortunately, they're just all in a pile. Grievous Shish just found out a Costco near me was selling a few Marvel trades for dirt chief thought of this thoughts on this if it could become a constant thing. That'd be amazing.

I've never seen that. And I know somebody very intimately who works at Costco. I should have told me that in the first place. So if he hasn't seen it, it's probably just a regional.

Maybe certain areas. But you know what? Depending on the area and the availability of comics, that's kind of cool. Yeah, I agree.

I don't know. I'm okay with that. I think that's kind of neat. Yeah, I think that's great.

Especially if they're cheap. Like if they're Costco prices, especially if I can get like, if I can get like the first like 10 volumes of some run for a Costco price because it's in bulk, it'd be freaking awesome. Tariff death, they're on issue 12. Oh, there you go.

I read that. I was like, what were we talking about before? Good. That's not bad.

Samberg is congratulating us on his favorite channel hitting 70,000. That's right. We did hit 70,000. Thank you very much.

It's incredible. Yeah. And we're going strong. Like we hit 70k like a couple of days ago, maybe actually like almost a week ago, and we're already at 70.35.

And that's thanks largely in part to the fact that like we've collaborated with comic story and comic explain. And we were on like three videos in a row. I watched that superhero thing that we did. The superhero thing.

The superhero thing. Right to that. The square wheels. Yeah.

And I left. I mean, I was laughing at myself. Honestly, I was laughing at everyone else's reactions. Yeah.

I was like, oh, I'm not going to. Because there's a 1.8 million. There's no way that all of you were already trying there. But go check it out.

There's a great episode. It's got my crawler on the cover. And it's about like a. It's their game show.

And we were on it. And it was great to see Tiffany on that. Because I was like, finally Tiffany's on the freaking couch on that set. Because she shot some great stuff for the purple channel that also does videos.

And so she did that. And that was really fun. But you didn't get to see it on the comic story set. No, no, no.

But I got to be on there. It was awesome. But those are so much fun. Just hanging out.

Pitching comic book hero. Yeah, just a good time. But yeah, that was a fun little nostalgia trip this morning. Totally.

Yeah, somebody mentioned that Tiffany does deserve more recognition. I couldn't agree with you more. Kenneth Crawley Jr., will you cover the CW Arrowverse TV shows on Elseworld's Exchange soon? No.

The only reason is because I don't watch the show. And I don't want to be that channel that does TV show recreat recaps. They may do well eventually either the show ends. You get burned out.

You hate the show and you don't want to do it anymore. Or people just drop off. And it's just like when we make the shows that we want to make and we want to show you, there's less likelihood of us failing to do it. Even if there's not as many people watching those shows as they would watch that particular type of show, we would be grassroots growing the audience for the show that we want to make.

And so ultimately that show would gloss them into a successful show, at least in theory. So I think it's easier to do, I mean it's easier. It's lazier for me to do a show. I want to do a show about a show that I wouldn't watch.

But that's why you won't see it. And I would like to do that. I wish there were shows out there that I was excited about enough to talk about at length. That had been on in the last 25 years.

So I mean, I guess we could talk about just the DC TV shows on Elseworld's which is what you've been doing. I mean, I can watch them. The thing is I wouldn't be able to speak intelligently on the subject. And I make it a rule not to waste your time talking at length about things I don't know anything about.

Although you might find our contractors disagreeing with it. You could moderate. I could moderate a conversation between Joel and Jason talking about it. They both watch those shows.

They can pitch them to you. Yeah, like watch the show. I'm like, nope, it's not enough for me. And cyber theory, since it's common to your job, do you get burned out?

No. I don't get burned out of the comments. That's exactly what you say. I get burned out on the length of time I have in which to read them sometimes.

Like it's not the stories that end up getting to me. You got to have this, this, and this right by this time. I'm like, what? You know what I mean?

It's more or less just that scheduling that's the burnout is the scheduling for me sometimes. But overall, I still love reading comics from when I started reading comics to now and discovering new stories. And those who have been reading comics for far longer than I have, whether it's just be due to you've been here longer on this earth or whatever. But it's kind of fun and not fun at the same time watching a character that you love go through amazing runs and then not so amazing ones.

And then when they come back, is that feeling of trying them? I've done nothing. No, it's true. It's fine.

So yeah, I don't get burned out in the books. No, I, the only burnout, occasionally good. Oh yeah, oh no, this last episode. That last episode was rough.

I didn't think I was going to ever cancel the show, but I was like, I need to be more careful with the books we take. No, I know it though because, no, no, no, don't because I didn't do any competition we had from it so much. Yes, I'm like actually thrilled that we finally, and I think like you're going to see like the heckler come up a lot more now as a result of that. Sure, sure.

But occasionally those books can be a slog, especially if I read them in the order where it's just like this is going to end up being my book or ugly, but I don't know that going into it. And then it's just like, how could I possibly read two more books? Yeah, after going to the worst. Otherwise, I'd like comics.

The only thing I get burned out when it comes to comics is the drama around them. Sure. Like the fandoms that compete and argue and the industry professionals who like behave unprofessionally and the criticism around them. That burns me out.

Like where I just go like, I don't care about any of that. I don't want to hear about it and I'm like sick of it. And then like it permeates into our culture and our community. Like recently it came up in our Facebook group and it was just like, that was very exhausting.

And not like the experience of like trying to mitigate it and dealing with it and being like, you know, because we own this company and I have to like make sure we keep people lit on things. But like mitigating that was like frustrating because it was just like that shouldn't be here. And seeing it like spread very quickly and very like passionately and very like negatively was like stressful. And so like it's not so much that I'm burned out on comics.

I don't think I ever will be. I'd be like saying, you watch a lot of movies. You burned down on movies. Like no.

Are you burned down on pizza? Like you can, but like eventually you'll be back. But you know, it's like, yeah, I don't think so. It's just it's just the people sometimes who make it frustrating to be a fan.

That sucks. That's understandable. Jack Ingram has bad art ever soured your opinion on a book with an otherwise good story or not been able to read it at all. Minutes ago, I just read Thanos imperative and Sepul.

Sepul Vedas art is so ugly. I was going to say Sepulveda. Sepulveda? I don't know if that's right.

I'm betting everything on Sepulveda. No. That's my lot of impression for everybody. Yeah.

Like, yes. Yeah, there's some art like there's some art where I'm like, well, I'm never gonna read this book because they're never gonna leave. Like, I'll never stop complaining about chemical is art amazing Spiderman. I couldn't handle like all these other things.

There's a lot of like, yeah, like weird stuff that like, oh, you know what's an old example? Web of Spiderman. I think Alex Saffiks art. I was like, I'm never gonna like this art.

Like, I'm never gonna read this book. And every time I was part of an ongoing crossover, I'd be like, well, I gotta slog through this. But like, there's some art where it's just like, I don't understand why they picked them and it's just because they delivered, it really is just as simple as like they delivered on time. Yeah, no, I wish I had any example, but that's just my brain doesn't work like that.

But I know I've had that moment where because comics are visual media, like, or media or whatever, whatever, whatever. And like, the storytelling provided by the art is so important to be paired up appropriately with the story. Like, it's not enough for it to just be well written. Yeah.

That's a look good too. But there have been moments where it's just like, the script could be very straightforward, but if the artist makes portraits of what they show in a panel to panel, it becomes like muddled and at this moment where you realize you're like, if I was reading this as a script, it would be better. Yes. And then you imagine like, who could have drawn it?

Right. And that for me is when it like becomes like, I'm like, this isn't a comic, this is just a story I would have enjoyed hearing about. Right. Like, and like, so that kind of just fails utterly in my opinion.

Yeah. And then I got the writers Paul. No, it may not be the artist fault. It could just be a poor pairing.

You know what I mean? Yeah, but yes, I definitely had that experience where I was like, no, no, I can't even. Can't even read. I can't finish it.

Red Sam were like top 10 favorite Batman villains. That's like all of them. So let's make it the top three, because it's like a cowwoman's redlar, dense joker clay face, you know, and then it's like, okay, now I got a really big deep like twiddle, deant tweedle dumb firefly. You know, like, I don't know.

All right. Well, because like I can come up with a few like, yeah, it's like raches on there, rags depending on the race. Which prefer hyperferry. Yeah, not for any particular reason, but I feel like I can only have one of them on the list right just like my own rule there I know I can't feel it the story or my list with like with my rules I know Morrison made her her own character.

Yeah, and she definitely is and like I actually have no problem with her But I think mentally I'm just like I can't do that. Yeah, I can't be like, you know I don't know I was trying to think of anyone else who copied that much Yeah, like I don't want to creep her in the Joker in the same place I'm just like I can't do that um so I would say like race res whatever I'm gonna say mad hatter mad hatter. So what he done right? Yeah, the trail of question is done right I know but I just love her.

Yeah, oh my concept the car to yeah, so every animated version of them is the superior version of it It really is they're just they're so amazing and in that case we're only the animated version baby doll baby doll So only that one episode though not the creepy like she's been a killer crock. No plot from that I would even like again if you're animated then I would also do I'd also say Oh, she was just there. No, it's gone. Oh Oh, yeah, I like that episode I don't like it.

No, it's so lame. Yeah every time like when I was reading Batman like in the 80s and 90s I was like and we get to a maxi's episode. I'm like, oh no Yeah, it's like one adventure doesn't matter the fantastic still a killer execution and it's basically a And the court bowels but only there you go and that's just all the time I had because then like you like a second later I'm gonna rock until I can talk about killer crock and talk about the Joker who's obviously an incredible villain But like I feel like that was just like no duh. Yeah, yeah, obviously obviously the Joker is like an incredible villain Riddler is my top three Yeah, and that's great.

That's fun. Like he's he's an enjoyable character. Yeah, so as you can see if the list goes on Cam says hey guys, I've been going on early 2000s marble vendor lately That's like the best arrow from Marvel working my way through disassembled secret wars any recommendations for cool and essential stories that fall within this window Yeah, you should pick up like most of the Marvel lifeline like Dennis is Punisher Bendices everything like during that time except for Eletra skip his electoral but you can get his daredevil in his adventures And his Jessica Jones and Marvel nice is doing a lot of amazing things back then You know, oh you want to get Dan Abnitz run on Guardians the Galaxy and then go into annihilation Which then goes into everything else and you'll go like oh civil what moving on so trust me like there's a lot to pick from and it's like all really really Solid oh, you know codes miss run on daredevil was fun for the time. Yeah, unfortunately There's only really terrific art that just has always word blue on top of them He didn't learn brevity until much later I have problems coming up with questions without specific topics.

So have some money. Thank you. Oh, thank you I'm out of a do Ali al-sidya siyadi ziyadi there you go. I thought on early on DC daily Kevin Smith and DC streaming I mean like oh we can't complain.

We were in that video. So, you know, I mean like sounds great It's kind of nice to see kept doing something not enough calm popping that video No, but you know what I mean like it's nice to see kept doing something Especially now that I think he's got like a new lease and like zest for a living Yes, looking healthy. Yeah being healthy and taking care of him So I'm like but just trying these different things and like jumping into this in terms of a wealth of That man the DC streaming itself. We had a chance to use the app.

I actually enjoyed using said app I love you to the other day, but I think it's going to be very much like individual individual Like this isn't going to be an app that every comic book reader has to have It's just those who have an interest in the content So I pay attention to the content that's going up there and make an educated choice based on that Yes, something that you're truly interested in and like it's yourself using at least a daily if not weekly basis kind of thing Yeah, overall it was kind of fun Yeah, I'm like presumably you can actually like start up conversations with people right through that and like I have like lists And stuff like that stuff you want to like check out share things with others kind of interesting Yeah, plus I was thinking about this the other day where I was like a Why wouldn't Marvel think to like do something with Kevin Smith as well? Because he had like has experience with them. Yeah, I remember that like he is a particular brand He like curses a lot and I'm like, oh, well, he gets a curse on his show and then I remembered the infamous fuck Batman Lying from the Titans show and I'm like, oh, yeah, they don't care like it's all on rated stuff. Anyway, so like yeah I guess he's actually perfect for having like a dedicated show the other group That's actually perfect for like a dedicated DC streaming show is this great YouTube channel comic-pop who would be happy to make a show Just for the DC streaming app.

Mr. Roboto saying I have a theme song for else world in total is totally metal Well, email me sale at comic-pop.net and we will get talking Jay Joseph Frazier What would be the personalities and course of the comic-pop members mirror universe or earth two counterparts? The anti-sale has no facial hair Right naturally, we all do yeah, and then would have like an inverted beard Yeah, no I mean like the true cell that my head once thin and like has baggy or clothes because you have any is never have facial hair I grow my facial hair like as a as a lark as like fun and then was like you should keep that and I was like Alright, I'll keep it for a little while then's been lucky with the ladies I'll see how that works So I like literally just left it because like then's told me to keep it and then I got fat And like actually keeps like my my neck from looking like it's part of my face So like I'm gonna keep it until I lose like 150 pounds then you will see a clean-shave and sal But only then okay, no and not any time That is the question. Oh, yeah, I mean like I guess I was like me can humble and like quiet yeah You know Ben is like not really I mean like he probably like did sports.

Yeah, and was like really good at it Yeah, he was very adept like he probably builds like he can build things he can like he can really run fast You know his band is a total introvert. Yeah, he's more like our buddy Tim Yeah, very like inside very insulated and digs computers and video games and stuff like that Like I'm not like not like that even would be I think more verbose. Yep He would be it's funny because like he's in sports now. Yeah, he would be more into comics.

Yeah, he would have yeah less active Yeah, but like he would be more like hey, you know like yeah, he'd be more like me. Yeah, he would So hopefully that answers your question. I'd be an interesting pairing though. I was like oh, it's Tiffany.

Yeah, I'm sorry I never you mentioned the beards. I would probably be more outgoing. I'm not very outgoing I'm so shy And I wouldn't look at No, you know, I would know I think I would be like animals. Yeah.

Yeah, so like that's your number one. Mm-hmm. Yes That's not really me. I was a perfect.

I say she was perfect. I say yes Yeah, she can see anything and everything and her hair is like pin straight. Yeah, which is like awesome. Yeah, yeah Yeah, and it's short and black.

Yeah, she looks awesome. She's cool, but it's like she's way cooler than me. That's the other thing She's really cool. She knows Tatoos, yes leaves.

Oh, can I be her? No? Kenneth Crowley junior classic DC films or DCU films that are your favorites. I Hmm.

I mean Dark Knight is one of the better Batman movies. Yep. I like it if it's on all these watches I like it on Batman. I always have like a soft spot for it.

Oh Massey Phantasm, okay Yeah, I like it too. No, it's great. It looks watch it just like with the technical eye like oh, it's really pretty pretty It's pretty the music is great really pretty the daily planet has never looked better. Yeah, frankly Gella is probably as periwite is an odd choice, but like a really good one really works I don't know anyway, so I like a boss worth as low as I know she's better naming Adams, but like a country mile Bad for what's this face?

Oh, yeah? Oh, yeah, he's never quite the guy. He's never the guy is always the other person's I think he was the guy and like some like chick like but no doubt. Yeah, not he's not usually the guy unfortunately Just don't don't put him in there.

He needs to go parry's nephew. He needs to go the kid needs to go that plot needs to go We saw it in IMAX there's this creepy dude We got there late and so we all sit in different places like that was in the front row I'm in the back In the middle like in the middle like and they're like this guy I sat down and like it's like we sat down credits were rolling It's like one of the 3d IMAX's got my glasses on like if you do trick you're gonna die You're gonna fall on to a thousand people and then like at the ground hopefully they catch you But they probably will not be man. You're gonna be covered in popcorn and soda and you're like falling to your death And think to yourself man, this is not what I saw coming from not what I was not worth it But yeah, I sit down and I'm like I put my glasses on over my glasses, which always is fun. Primo.

Well, that's another reason why I got I'm not doing this, but I think there's always like I'm like hello He introduces himself. I can't remember his name to like save me. I just have no idea I'm like, hey, okay, and I'm just gonna watch the movie and then literally throughout the movie during random moments I hear him like talking but he's not talking to me. No, I don't know.

He's talking to me He's just he's just he's engrossed in the movie Yeah And so like when we get to the boat and like the kid is like playing the piano and playing heart and soul Yes, the guy like one of the villains. Yeah, he leans over. I didn't really know I just hear him go chopsticks He's just whispering. I'm like that's wrong.

Yeah, not only are you being weird, but you're also incorrect That's incorrect and then yeah, and then one point like the kid goes to turn the handle and like oh, it turns out his dad is there Right because she says my dad not his dad Yeah, she wants because Lois is like I need you to like break the door open for daddy Yeah, and it's just like walking towards the door What I have to leave yeah, I can't No, that was really weird that was a great experience though I am not never bow that I remember being in the in that same theater Yeah, that was the only place you can see I'm next movie at the time we saw 300. Oh, yeah, and first of all awesome But secondly there was a couple of people behind me and when you're like in an iMac's 3D sphere experience You're the person behind me was here and back. Yeah, so they're and they're just talking yeah, and it I would see in 300 already So it was not ruined yeah, but like it's annoying and so after like 30 minutes people just talking to each other like literally having a conversation I find these turn around I go you have a good conversation back there and They shut up and so I turn around and then I hear the one guy behind me and he goes Maybe I was having a good conversation Like that doesn't make a better case, but I really loved it. I mean, but you shut the rest of the time But yeah worth it a little bit of a jersey slash my dad's ass there.

Yeah, totally I agree dark night fantastic Really I like period pieces and including heroes into that like something that's out of the norm into said period It's why like the opening of X-Men is always better than any X-men movie I think like Magneto like with the Nazis like yeah, exactly like I love that type of thing when done Yeah, yeah, yeah, Tara death when will you guys do a back is on DC 1 million? Please do it also congratulations to be thousand and you to my favorite couple on the internet Well, thank you There's many of them and I do appreciate you picking us really nice. It's gonna be a long time We do have the omnibus though, so you know, don't worry about sending anything Maybe DC 1 million for 100,000. Yeah, when we hit a million subscribers will do DC 1 million No, I was trying to make it more like we had a hundred thousand yeah, I mean like I mean people want to be more Sick as they want futures and for yeah, I think a hundred thousand might do its futures and so we'll save the DC 1 million for 1 million So there's a Benny gun at 1.8 million subs we could have a million VM gray what are some of the top stories you wanted to do on back issue the stay away from because the possible low views and maybe content Also, would you ever do an arc on ships that are skis up to sex criminals?

That would be one of them. Yeah, but that being said like it would have been a huge video to do like two years ago It really would have done gangbusters and we wouldn't have been content flagged. No, that's the issue Like that would be a huge problem, but can I just tell you how much I would love love love love to present that story to Ethan and Ben? Like can you imagine that yes like it'd be amazing.

I mean that's almost like worth doing for something like I don't even know how we do it Yeah, for like maybe you know, right? Something else just oh maybe like a patreon exclusive episode I was just I'm gonna tell Ben and Ethan about sex criminals. Yeah, here we go. Yeah, great like guys Just just imagine for a minute that like no, you know, it's not getting very shocking But like yeah, it's a little more on the nose.

It's just it's more it's grounded in our world. Yeah in a way, you know, so yeah, but otherwise There are a lot of indie books that I wanted to do that I stayed away from yep specifically We still did God country that was and that was a struggle like a big decision to make There was a lot of back and forth on that. I didn't think it was gonna be worth Like yeah, I think it was gonna be worth it because it meant a lot to me I was also nervous about doing it, but I was really concerned about that. This is your job You know, I wanted a decision I make When I was a fact us yeah, it was a good episode I'm glad we did it despite the fact that like we were right that it did do low numbers and we like done case didn't give a shit You know, I don't think I kind of don't care No, it's true But like it would be cool to get some cross-motion because it's like we're helping to sell books for you Yeah, well the artist did though the artist loved the episode and was super not Which is like really neat really for me like I love that Yeah, any drew your book But some of the manga stuff like we did so moon that was and like even doing another one I worry about it Yeah, I'm right as into it like even if we did something huge.

Yeah, I am always worried about that kind of thing Yeah, I think some characters particularly know don't always perform super well Yeah, like I'm a little worried America's not Kathamaker does not help he's you know if we did seminal books it might work But like the more fun books to do yeah wouldn't perform right? I mean there's one book there's one character that we'll do that like I'm just like well There's a reason to do it. We're gonna do it, but I know that'll get lay will be like the lowest viewed backage that ever made I'm working to do it, but yeah, I Like doing holy terror, but like I'm worried about that. Yeah, yeah, we're gonna do it different with the whole day Maybe yeah, I don't know but like yes, there are certainly books out there that we become concerned about just in general Just the overall like response to it because we also don't want to alienate people like people subscribe for a reason And if we're giving you content doesn't necessarily match that reason yeah might be well jarring Yeah, I mean like even though they know like next week will be green lanterns So it's like right but if we do too many like that so it's like when we when I decide like when I'm just like hey Can we do a new book?

It's kind of like we space it out. Yes, you know this isn't the only detail yeah Red Sam right how do you come up with ideas for else world exchange? Do you ever do a fan poll for ideas for the podcast? We've never done it.

We've maybe done fan polls. They don't really work out and so I really rarely do it plus I have plenty of ideas. It's always just something that I want to talk about it So either something that like comes to mind immediately or something naturally spawns from the conversation John I and a texture Tiffany and I came up with a couple of ideas that like I'm just chipping away once in a while But there's some ideas that I would rather do that supersede that I come up with usually the day of or the day before Yeah, absolutely. So there's very little prep time for the else world to change.

Yes, but it looks pretty well put together I've ever the people on it. Oh, yeah, you do a lot of prep no, it's true Thank you super fist 59. Hey, it's Ricky after my awesome experience meeting you guys I decided to start reading Marvel with X 23 and X four thoughts on Laura Kinney first of all It was great to meet you. I remember you from art was from the live zap.

Yes, which by the way We've been watched great episode and to go to zap comments we did it, but yeah, Laura Kinney's great I love that character. I think she's cool I could never have imagined her blossoming from her origins from like that NYX book. I was like what is happening Yeah, you know, I have an early issue of that. Yeah, you do But yeah, it's I think she's a great character I'm disappointed she will be losing the like classic Wolverine suit as it turns out the red or the yellow and blue Wolverine Cosmo's better than one it does it looks great on it really does I mean it doesn't have the effect of it looks good and it's kind of it's not like costume regardless But it's like it's the combination.

I think of having a burly short Canadian man wearing those colors where it's just like it Why would you choose that? Yeah, really cool if Laura could keep it and then we'll bring to go back to like the red and yellow Or brown suit I just thought it was kind of interesting that like given that the change over inevitably where mostly X-men went from a bulk of yellow to a Blue yes, Wolverine's costume remained a bulk of yellow yes, and he got that super for even joining the X-men But like given that option yeah, you had a chance for a redesign on yourself You know I'm thinking more blue than yellow right, but no, so yeah, I think she's a great character And you know I'm happy to see that she's like yeah I like like seeing well now they've changed that origin But just see initially someone who was akin to Wolverine, but like a little more well adjusted to some degree Yeah, you know and like but still having those like like desires and like those impulses yeah Yeah, that's cool. That's cool. That's cool.

Fero congrats on 70,000. Thank you very much. Salsarano you guys one of my favorite channels. Thank you so much Gorgonfish what man give you read of any a lot You know you've read more than me certainly yeah, and I read some of attack on Titan, but not enough and some of the element I know that's pretty much it I leave things around sometimes.

Yeah Yeah, right now I've been plugging away at reading some Uzamaki, which is like I just I love Especially as we get into like fall Yeah, so like that I've been even I know that's older I'm just saying you know like that's one of those things that I currently am checking out I'm not reading anything current only because of the books we have to read for the week to do like off the rack and good bet ugly and Just monger obviously longer. They're larger. I mean they're very digestible. I do miss it sometimes Yeah, really do miss it quite a bit.

Yeah, I actually have one sitting on my next stand. I can't remember what it's called though It's more recent thing nice like solid That's right. I don't know but yeah, and I'm like yes Second time I don't know a lot of other things Yeah, like ever quite a bit Bt-manon could you do help by my manila on back issues only when it comes out already Pavlov favorite villain that's underrated has Potential or very little screen time. I'd be nice to see mr.

Freeze get us do without it being lame man Yeah, I agree with that it's funny Like people say because you said favorite villain is most alike villains that nobody uses that do be cool to see like You know like you would be cool to see them actually just think good with mr. Freeze I'm making a plot device for like a you know Tom King story Yeah, and I was gonna say it's funny because they've been in that same vein and in a actually start Co-star in the same movie poison ivy also. I think yeah doing something cool with her be great Yeah, I know they recently done some she was in more jokes and really dumb. Yeah, but yeah, and I think she was also in Sniders Yeah, all-star mm-hmm briefly, but like yeah, that's right But like freeze anymore, so he's great.

Yeah, super manning after after Kev's heart attack You said you hit the gym has that going slowly I'll hit the gym and then like recently I had like a really bad injury that like persisted for about three weeks And I was like grinning and bearing it but like there was no way I could work out and that really screwed me up for a while But but I'm back so hopefully you'll see it soon and I don't go for like fad diets and stuff So like I got no Joel's doing the keto thing. I can't I just I refuse to do it Everybody I know is doing every every fiber might be says that like changing your diet so that you can lose weight immediately Is like folly because it means that like the second you go back or do anything or like things even happens You will gain like a significant portion of the bag like just how about eating less next I think that's my plan And it seems working fine And maybe it's not going as fast as like if I were to like shock my system by like cutting out some significant portion of my diet Just do the all potato diet. Yeah, that's okay. I was the all potato.

It was the pen and pendulets potato I know you could do that. I love potato. You don't need to do it I'm an Irish person. Yeah, I just like the taste embracing my roots So yeah, it's going slowly.

Thank you for asking. I'm trying actually my my lock screen We just get rid of our notifications here But like my lock screen is Kev like in the hospital as a like constant waking reminder like to get my ass in gear when I saw him I actually like didn't change it by accident and I was like, oh Jesus Christ He's gonna because we took a selfie and he's like and he's like hey, it's me And I'm like yeah, I'm sorry and he's like he's like even my wife doesn't have a picture on her phone And I'm like well, it's just to remind myself not to fucking eat myself into a heart attack He was like tell me that he was like good for you to do that's fantastic So I did not mean to do that. I don't want him to know that he was my long screen Sam Anderson who has the longer schedule south of the channel or Tiffany with the channel twitch and work you I guess yeah Technically you because you have to cram more into this because you're always working eight to five Yeah, no matter what whereas I can work whenever yeah, except for Thursdays when I'm working all day So are you though? Yeah, even then like it's like Thursdays.

I work my eight hours. I come home I'm ready to shoot and then yeah, so I so you mr. Abato moon. I the bottom was great now.

I'm a fan That's awesome. That is the purpose of back issues. Yes, that was so much fun. Thank you Canes world.

Did you guys see the clip released for young justice in three? I saw like a trailer Yeah, I didn't see the clip. I saw the trailer heartless fan question for Sal What was your favorite thing about teaching is there anything you miss about it? Uh everything that was about the students and nothing about everything else.

Yeah, I think at the end of the day like Teaching in a public school for you. It was difficult because it was less about No, it's not about like the like weird like power stuff Yeah, like everyone who works in a school wants something can't have it and resents everyone else for having something that they think reminds I know that everyone really like every level like the principal the superintendent the other teachers the parents that kids like everyone is unhappy Yeah, and everyone wants something and they all expect someone else to give it to them And it's like really like combative and angry and bitter and miserable and like the teaching is education is like so effed and it's like so frustrating Because it's like, you know, remember when you like I count on one hand the amount of good teachers I've had from Kate from pre-k to college or to grad school I think more than five really yeah, because I've not pre-k to grad school five. Maybe Between having art yeah I guess I've had some terrible ones. Yeah, you've had a very good like share of a very positive one really bad But I know yeah, he's dead now.

She's dead. Oh, she's dead. No, there's no one but yeah, so she said you know Yeah, I do miss teaching. I like teaching what's ironic is like if I I was I was very qualified to like teach and I went to like many Interviews over spent many years for like the lowest paying lowest wrong jobs and wouldn't get them And I think that like now that I actually have an audience I would actually be able to get it I think I was like hey, I do YouTube for a living like oh welcome to the team which is like the worst criteria But you know what like every door that's been open for me in the last 15 years have been because of the internet So you know what I'll take it you guys are amazing.

Yeah, thank you To be able to do super sons on back or someday probably when the enemy movie comes out Yeah, which by the way didn't help like we did go to my gas like I knew there was gonna be an enemy movie did help at all So you never know LK and Cherokee will you guys do a back or something dark nights metal and watchmen? Yes and no in that order There you go. Congrats on some decay in your marriage. Thank you very much.

Yeah, like a baby savage dragon 228 style No, I don't think it's possible Jack and grim what are the non-anertum topics that you love and are knowledgeable about people would be surprised by for me It's Greek mythology nice. I don't know. Yeah I don't know what I know a lot of right like old Star Wars. That's nerd them.

Yeah, no non nerd them non nerd them Like movies I don't know movies count you know like the godfather trilogy and and like Quentin Tarantino movies, right? You know like particular franchises that are from film that are not comic book related. Yeah I know I don't know a lot about any one topic. I'm like a jack-of-all-trades Like I know a little bit and it doesn't help out with anything so like you mentioned Greek mythology I know a little bit about that.

I also like just mythology in general from other places a lot of like ghost stories urban legends Like that kind of thing. Yeah, I have an interest in like, you know, like Japanese culture Yeah, I don't know. I don't know but I wouldn't say I'm an expert in any of it food cooking that kind of thing I don't think it's fair to say like graphic design because like I think people would expect that I would know something about that Yes, they should because you do that anyway. Yeah, so but I don't know a lot of it It's not sure it's very random It is random like I'm just like hey general fact about that.

Do you know anymore? No? No, why do you know that? No, because I didn't learn math Skip and Tosh says love the thumbnail fam such a great couple.

Thank you. Thank you. The terror death don't do the D.C. 1 million for 1 million subscribers to it for 150,000 subscribers.

That's a fair compliment. Yeah, I guess that's a decent compromise It will make it to 250,000 subscribers. Andre Ditter favorite long runs that are at least 20 issues I mean like all of them like there's yeah, right like I don't know spider hand Batman like this my favorite characters have my favorite ones There are few books that where I'm like wow these 25 issues were all really good with no mis-steps Aaron's made it to Aaron's strange made it to 20. Yeah, I think we didn't actually like surpass that We were succeeded in that run.

There's a lot. Yeah, there are a lot of books out there Can hate to have any you introduce me I kill giants. Yeah, I really just wanted to say thank you I know it's a small book, but I would love to see on back issues. It's another guaranteed Ben Cry.

Okay better be for that matter I don't know if it would but it is a guaranteed I will not make it. Yeah, you'll cry I will not make it through that book. Mm-hmm. We would have to probably cut yeah I have to pull myself together and we have to come back at the same time I kind of want that did not I don't want to cry right I want to do that book because like I want more people to read it Yes, like I think it's such a beautiful story and I think for a lot of people You know, hopefully you never will but like you may have a moment like that Yeah, you may need it and like even though you're not a like 12 year old girl It can help you yeah, so I don't know now I agree Kevin Krueger we saw how Wanda made it out of the DC universe, but how do you all think dr.

Strange would do I? Don't know that means you saw how Wanda made out made out oh Yeah in a JLA Avengers Wanda shows up at DC universe. Yeah Yeah, well, I think well it depends on if he ran who he ran into yeah I would I mean like it would it could be a thing like a amalgam where you like becomes dr. Strange fate But if it shows him if he draws if he comes in dr.

Strange fate, I think we're gonna have a dick measuring contest Well dr. Fate yeah, dr. Fate don't say these things are left I know if we run into dr. Fate then I think they're gonna have a dick measuring if he runs into swamp thing I think that that would be very intellectual to some degree.

I think so constantly would blow him off I think that would be one to say he ran into the tonne oh my god. He'd be like well I need a system I Think she would be insulted. Oh, yeah, but also like I don't know see she might remind him of her father Oh, that who knows I don't know I'd like to see that parent yes, it's a terrible thing You all for the wonderful video you did during my last two years of high school and I was thinking about ending it all before I did watch read and play all my favorite things well I'm sorry that you were in such a dark place, but I thank you for like letting us be a part of your lives in that way That's like it's very very humbling and I never know what to say in that regard But I do appreciate that you have found your way out of that. Yes It's always a constant struggle and it's always something nobody wants to talk about so it's like it's cool that you're able to do that Apparently our video I put is really low for some reason I see that we are directly connected the internet So I'm sure it's because of our great people were at optimum online who are just the worst So we're gonna wrap it up.

We see you can hear us. We should be okay. Yeah, but yeah, so please, you know We're gonna start to pause this yeah, we're going to yeah, that might help we're going to be winding down pretty soon We're reaching the hour mark so yeah, according to our mod we are doing okay, so okay. Let's see how it goes Epics zero zero please a patreon exclusive episode of the boys.

No, I will never do the boys. Thank you though. I do appreciate it Michael Fairbank or Fairback excited for any new Bendis jinx world series. No James world is fine I don't think that it's worth like the amount of fanfare it's been getting and because it's just because Bendis is a DC And he's like well if you're gonna do this you better put my books out Martin our show I'll be in Jersey on October.

Can we grab a few coke zero sugars? Yeah Which a bullshit? Yeah, exactly nobody to appreciate the invitation well depends on when it's gonna be man Super Luigi act just saying hi and giving my contribution giving hoping for more 90s common back issues to see the reaction flies away Yeah, man more than well you'll always see them on the good bed. Yeah, you'll definitely see them Yeah, and just how like I get it and I have no problem like sharing having DC share more independent comics Yeah, it kind of burns me that like they've had vertigo just laying like language like not paying attention to it And so of course the anniversary of Sammy comes up and they do something with it now But it's just like but then I put Bendis A lot of stuff Terror death things are and along with several other things you guys got me to laugh and out of a state So thank you also sorry for this post in two points.

Oh, there you go. So it's actually one part. There we go Things along with several other things you guys got me to laugh at it That's awesome, man. Yeah, thank you just you know every day is a new day.

Yeah, and just just keep going forward Yeah, stick around stick around stick around this morning comb Eric Dennis Superman for Batman Robin, which is the worst real film Batman and Robin hurt Batman, but Batman would always bounce back segment for made people think that you couldn't make segment Yeah, I'm in a Robin. However, her two of my favorite villains. Yeah, I get a big bad way It was just like this is I don't know personally for me. I'd say Batman Robin.

Yeah, that's just a personal thing, right Chris Galardo if you get Robin else world would be on that's a great question. I don't know I'd have to leave it to Rob I would love a robin pick the top of the top of the thing and why you should start yeah, I don't Don't start a bit Dylan Graham leave check out Batman 54 night wing spotlight. I'll check it out, but I won't buy I don't buy books. I don't believe it.

Mr. Botto. So what would you ask Kevin Smith when you meet? I've met him four times now and each time has been a very different experience very very different from the last the next time I meet him.

I would like to think it is in a like professional capacity. I doubt it But you know it would be more like how's it going? You know, I don't think there's nothing that he could tell me that I probably don't already know yeah But I would love to be stumped like I'd love to find out that's not true empty Kaiser. So say have you ever seen the 2003 Ninja Turtles series?

Yes, it was really cool Michael Fairback favorite costumes from Halloween's past I was Dick Tracy once and I had the full like yellow trench coat and hat and a ton of gun No, it's fun. I Was Sean once from Sean of the dead. Yeah, you really nailed that one. That was awesome I was trying to think like I I failed at most costumes for Halloween.

It's not not very good But it turns out right just not good at Halloween to make it work for you because Stand man Anderson compile kitchen build a set dammit. Yeah, that was gonna be like my goal for the summer Yeah, I should have told you that it would help to make it happen But then we got another project and I really never really put the brakes on everything. Yeah, uh Yes, yeah, I like to I wanted to come back like you wouldn't believe yeah That's it. I got nothing.

We also can't shoot it here. It's a fire hazard. Yeah, I think we're not allowed no So we have to shoot it home. Yeah Yeah, Kayla Vila or Villa have you seen the 1978 doctor strange movie?

No, you gotta see it I like want to and I don't want to it's so not even doctor strange you wouldn't be like this one with the character Yeah Great channel I thank you very much. Yeah, and Ben Wilson. Hey, come up. No questions Thank you for the many hours of content.

I listen as I exercise go to work and do the dishes big big V from us I said it's big. Thank you from us. Okay. Oh, yeah, I was Yeah, thank you, man.

Thank you so much for watching. I love the fact that you're getting a lot of stuff done. Yes, right? That's true.

I love people are getting stuff done. Yeah, we do also really get stuff done. Yeah, yeah That's true. We do really appreciate you watching it.

I love that we get like we people who watch from like far away Yeah, like I was my mind Yeah, I'm actually find it surprising how few fans or audience members we have in Jersey I assumed it was just be like yeah, I watch them because they're from Jersey But like no like as it turns out most of our most of our watchers are from like California. Yeah, which is amazing Yeah, and Mr. About a good luck becoming Bain. I don't know what that means who me him right?

Oh You adopted the dog. I was watching that the other day. It's so stupid It's so dumb. It's so obvious that like is ADR is so obvious.

It's like it's jarring like everyone has a certain level He's like oh, and it's like what do you do? It's so loud. Oh my god, that's amazing Preston Brian's come on kitchen. Do you guys like cooking?

You should watch the playlist on the compound kitchen show. He's made what five episodes something that's for because the first I was technically I think it was like for yeah, first I was the wife Which We did we cakes chakos We should do a show where you make recipes from the comics You you make the thing that people eat in the comics come to life Yeah, and we still have a couple of them we do and so I'd love to try them out. Yeah, they're death fine one decently million 200,000 because keep changing it also from South Florida nice Yeah, all right, maybe to like counter. Yeah, a little give and take 200,000 will see But but I do but you know what like well you never know my 200,000 who the hell knows and hopefully it'll be a lot sooner than like in 10 years when Social media or when social blade suggests that we'll probably get that number right Kevin Marquez Hey guys, I've been a fan for two years now and you're one of my favorite channels any plans to do another collaboration with my Favorite professor or yes, we've been working it out It's just been because this secret project that's been going on like nothing has been able to move forward So nothing can move until we get this thing done So but Thor he is on the point is on the docket and he lives like around the corner Yeah, and he wants to come over so yeah, and empty cars So have you read the clause one shot from last year Klaus Klaus?

Yes Fair enough. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Yes Klaus So yeah before we go we're gonna jump into some recommendations We think you should check out there come out this week to make it a little bit more comments related right? I'm gonna recommend a couple of things death and humans number three comes out next week It is course written by Donnie Cates with our by Ariel all of Eddie and cari Andrews. This is black bolt has been what like I don't want to ruin anything for you. It's it's an incredible series I can't recommend it highly enough and I love how it's going So if you if you like the human to be hating humans, you still got a read it's fantastic.

Yeah, what you got I got cousin ghost writer number three five mini series here by Donnie Cates about just you know punisher Ghost writer in space with baby Thanos. Yep fun Just kind of like literally the worst combination of characters the last issue was so much fun with the watcher being there being like And there it is and you've earned every decision anyone's ever made in the history of anything. There it is Yep, good work. Yeah, so looking forward to that and like you know and seeing the new guards the galaxy.

Yes The new guardians lot of fun. Yeah, a lot of fun Let's see here. Oh by the way, we had a chat we had a chat with Jason the other day on his show I did and Jason and I were talking about how Vox from death and humans looks just like and I mean just like they used the Earth X Comic costume for black bolt for the villain Vox and we arrived at the theory that Vox is black bolt from the future No, but but yeah the idea that like black bolt will inevitably become Vox and then go back in time and be like probably killed by black This would also be an interesting way he he suggested like what if he's actually like Vox is black bolt from Earth X I was like that's cool idea. Well the Earth X trilogy omnibus is coming out in hard-covering.

No way, which is kind of interesting. Yeah, yeah Unfortunately, it's the trilogy so it has the other two really really disappointing sequels, but it's still coming out and you should definitely check it out Because Earth X number volume one is really cool It got it gets a lot of things like the mythology around Earth X is fantastic The execution is not great and of course the parallels between that and Kingdom come they could even less great because Kingdom come is so much better Hmm, okay, also Thanos legacy's coming out down he takes his right again because he's gonna be right everything Yeah, and so you know you get some information about Thanos story for everything's got a story for everybody That's kind of cool. What else you got? Justice League number seven's coming out.

I feel like it. I don't know like I was like It didn't come out this week. Yeah, no, we missed it. We were like, oh no I was like This way you know this crazy story with the Legion of Doom versus Justice League and a we got a girl in her race.

Yeah You better get that damn ace. Yeah, she has it. She has it. She used it.

She used it. Oh, yeah, that's right Also, which I'm excited for is you put up here is as a hurricane of the galaxy. Yes I saw this preview of like Angela and Valkyrie and the rest because that's literally all as far as I cared, right? And I'm in yeah, thank you.

Yeah, it looks like scourge back to life by the way. Yeah, but like I'm in I'll check it out Yeah, definitely oh my god. Yeah, oh my god Kevin Masterson Eric Masterson Sun is gonna be thunder strike Cuse on that's amazing. Yeah, you know, I'm writing you know, I'm gonna check it out.

Yeah, we gotta meet him He's never been to a con we've been at no, it's true. It's unbelievable right? Eventually, seven is coming out. This is it was the maker break it for this freaking book We'll see go start it finally rides a mastodon right which really should be a skeleton but fine Yeah, whatever Jason Aaron is losing me in a big bad way.

Maybe the making him the Marvel It's not like asking him to like change the Marvel universe. He has no idea Before we go heartless bang says will you ever do another building an event else world again I watched one of the ones from 2016 had a pretty fun pitch based on one of those Maybe I mean I like those like hypothetical people that I was in like the list Yeah, so like if we if literally something like down to like what if this happened? That's right never say never say no. Yeah, that's right Mason Hey guys, I've been a fan for a long time was curious if y'all would cover the invincible series one day Yeah, yeah, we have a couple of books from invincible and of course like it ended really well So who knows and empty cars?

So if you want Ben to cry do we three by Grant Morrison if you want to be right? We'll do we three by Grant Morrison because that thing is sad, but also I haven't literally have not read it because of the cast Yeah, well, it's it's beautiful. I know and I have to it I tell giants I don't think I'll ever cry as hard as that no, that's true. So I think I can read this now.

Yeah, I agree No, that was yeah, and Adam grows Tiffany. Will you please cover the rest of saga on back issues? We've heard a lot of people would like that.
