Elyiss Williams Rising at Tight End

Elyiss Williams, Georgia’s 6-foot-7 tight end, cracked CBS Sports’ top 25 offensive skill players for 2026—right at No. 25—and he’s poised to take the next step. Though he had a quiet spring with just one catch, his overall performance hinted at a push for a starting role. Coach Smart wants Williams to sharpen his game awareness and maximize his size and speed as both a receiver and blocker. A freshman standout last year with 7 catches, 117 yards, and a TD, Williams is benefiting from growing experience. With senior Lawson Luckie entrenched and Jaden Reddell also lighting up spring drills, the competition is fierce—and fall camp could see Williams, and others, earn multiple tight end reps. Georgia’s depth at the position is elite, and Williams’ blend of size and upside makes him a key player to watch as the season heats up.
