Emanuela was a 15 year old high school sophomore who lived with her family in Vatican City. On June 22nd, 1983, Emanuela left the Vatican grounds to go to a flute lesson in Rome. She took the bus there, but was late. She called her sister and told her a man in a BMW offered her a job selling Avon cosmetics. After the flute lesson, Emanuela never returned home. Her family began receiving strange phone calls from men claiming to have seen her, but no trace of Emanuela has ever been found. Debate about her fate still rages in Rome. What happened to Emanuela Orlandi?
