EMAR Adoption Challenges and Best Practices in Elder Care--v2

Using EMAR in elder care has best practices as well as challenges.  Although it improves accuracy and simplifies drug distribution, facilities sometimes have challenges including staff training, system integration with current systems, and data security assurance.  To maximize EMAR, however, best practices including phased implementation, ongoing staff education, and frequent system updates help.  For senior citizens, this strategy increases general quality of treatment, lowers mistakes and improves medication safety.
