Living simply is not always easy. It is not a destination it is a journey. Before you even begin to  simplify you will need to identify how you define simple, where your life is complicated and explore why you seek simplicity in the first place. Humans have the tendency to over complicate the simple. About 5% to 7% of adults in the U.S. are pursuing some form of voluntary simplicity, according to Gerald Celente, director of the Trends Research Institute in New York. Simple is relative. Everyone’s definition is different. You need to know where your life is complicated before you can simplify it. How do you know when enough is enough? What does embracing simplicity mean to you? Why are you seeking simplicity? What are some steps large or small you can take to live more simply? How is your debt load? In a study published in 2000 in the journal Social Science & Medicine, researchers from Ohio State University and the University of Alabama found that people with a high ratio of credit card debt to income were in worse physical health than those with less debt.
