FIRE stands for, financial independence retire early.  The movement started a little over a decade ago, some books were written about the concept and then the millennials really climbed onboard. A big part of it is that people are really frustrated  - that has lead to The Great Resignation.  We just don’t want to have to work at a job (they hate) forever and never be able to retire.  There are a lot of factors that have made it popular, but, as you look closer at the core philosophies, for most people, it's probably not going to work. Dawn strongly disagrees with a lot of the FIRE's underlying principles. In this episode she  unpacks the FIRE movement, why it's problematic.
