Embracing Envy | EP35

In this episode we talk about the power of jealousy and embracing the lessons for us in these feelings. There is nothing wrong with our jealous feelings, as these feelings are a guide remind us of our true desires and that there is something more that we desire that we don't have yet. Mel Robbins even talks about the power behind allowing our jealousy to fuel us. We have the choice to play victim OR to decide we want something different. I share a personal story in my own life that fueled me to make different decisions in life because of allowing myself to feel the jealous feelings. It was a gift to me, to choose to stay in victim more or choose to be the victor. This series has been inspired by doing work on embracing our shadow emotions. The goal is not to get rid of the darker emotions. It is only when we accept all emotions within ourselves as a part of us, that we can be whole. We have been looking for the missing pieces outside of us, or burying them pretending they don't exist, and what we need is to embrace all of the truth within us. In our religious culture, we have been taught that we should not want or need more in our lives. The truth is there is nothing wrong with being grateful for what we have AND wanting more. Desire and the wanting of more, is what creates our future.
