Embracing Shame - Do Not Be Afraid of the Darker Emotions | EP29

from Shameless Freedom Podcast · host Jen Bugajsky Love, Pleasure and Intimacy Coach

In this episode we talk about the power of embracing shame including a funny story from rupture to turn-on. As humans we all have positive happy emotions and darker negative emotions. We are all ashamed of things we have done, things we haven't done, the list goes on and on. As a result, we hide the truth of who we are in the shame. The truth is shame is a part of who we are as human beings. There is no person living in this world that has not experienced shame. Living is about sharing the honesty and vulnerability of who you are. It is ok to feel shame. Let us STOP judging our shame and shoving it down. The goal is not to get rid of the darker emotions. It is only when we accept these things within ourselves as a part of us, that we can be whole. We are looking for the missing pieces outside of us and what we need is to embrace all of the truth within us. There is power in owning and embracing the shame. There is a difference in talking about our feelings, versus feeling our feelings. This has inspired me to create a series on the 7 deadly sins and the importance of embracing these darker emotions.
