Embracing the Learning Curve | We Stumble Our Way to Proficiency & Inadequacy Comes Before Mastery

from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent

Embracing the Learning Curve | We Stumble Our Way to Proficiency & Inadequacy Comes Before Mastery When was the last time you learned something new? Specifically, something that took time, energy, and effort to fully understand? So much of the advice we receive is to play to our strengths. To focus on the areas we naturally excel, and to chart a path on that trajectory. In the same breath, we are actively discouraged to try and cultivate proficiency in areas that aren't naturally accessible to us, rather than encouraged and supported to make the effort to bridge the gap. Playing to our strengths is one way to live, but there is so much passion and potential to charting a development path that doesn't take strength or weakness into consideration. Following your curiosity, whether it leads you down a path where you are naturally talented or otherwise, is the best way to never wonder if you sold yourself short. Do you have any questions?
